We’ve worked with Global for three years and have had only great experiences with their service. Kamil and the team sourced and installed our air conditioner in 2022 and our furnace in 2024. They’ve also done annual maintenance and came out for an emergency call when our furnace seemed to have an issue (it wasn’t the furnace - the gas had accidentally been turned off). They arrived at our house within 90 minutes of my call (on a very cold Sunday morning) and worked to troubleshoot the issue immediately. We were back up and running with heat in no time. So glad we found Global and recommend their work highly.

We live on the top floor of a two flat with 11 foot ceilings. The A/C broke down, and it was HOT. Miserably hot. I decided to walk around the neighborhood to see if I could spot a branded truck that advertised HVAC. I was in luck, around the corner, I noticed a pristine and clean white truck with Global Heating and Cooling replacing a rooftop A/C unit. I gave them a call, got the owner right away, Mike. He was prompt, available, professional and above all, respectful. I knew I wanted an upgrade from whatever we had. My conditions were: 1) A quieter unit 2) More even cooling and heating 3) A faster cool 4) Getting an HVAC unit that would be more effective for an apartment with high ceilings 5) Company needs to have an understanding of the conditions, requirements and care of a Chicago flat roof Mike did a deep dive analysis of my space and my roof, measured output and footage, distance of the interior ducts from the unit, and what brand of residential HVAC's could handle it all, and told me the HVAC unit I had was not designed for a space as large as mine, with 11 foot ceilings, and this is why it broke down. I needed to upgrade to a commercial unit and that their wasn't a residential unit that would deliver with my requirements combined with our existing infrastructure. He delivered a detailed plan with layout with HVAC unit analytics so that I could make an unformed decision. He discussed warranty with me. And also his company's service plan. I did research also, and decided on a Trane brand, versus Carrier. Mike recommended commercial Trane because repair parts would be available if needed plus he said he rarely had a Trane failure. The cost to upgrade was significant but worth it. We love our HVAC, it's smooth and a workhorse. Our unit runs almost 24/7, 365. (I mean, Chicago weather is so volatile.) The workers that installed were on time, exacting, clean, professional, respectful and meticulous. Answered all questions I had and were friendly. Mike is a wonderful entrepreneur/owner. He provides outstanding customer service, is friendly and always returns calls/texts. I recommend Global Heating and Cooling LLC without reservation for major construction and replacement on an existing and vintage home. So much so that I hired him to come back to winterize my newly insulated back porch. It was freezing in the winter and our laundry is in the basement. You can imagine how horrible it feels to go through the back porch in the dead of a Chicago winter to do laundry, right? Well not anymore! He recommended electric heating units to line the walls and it has transformed our quality of life. Our back porch is like a second home now with heat that radiates to our primary living spaces. It's wonderful now. Be warned of imitators with the same name. There is only one Global Heating and Cooling and they are located on Ashland Ave., in Chicago's East Village neighborhood. I attached their logo here. Update: I actually forgot to add that I called Global Heating and Cooling back again because I needed to weatherize my back porch. And I didn't actually know who to call but when I mentioned it to Mike, he said exactly what I need to hear which is we do this! He'd already delivered such a great job on the air conditioning that I thought oh my gosh I'm just going hire him to do this. And the work was immaculate. It was on time, on budget and it's completely transformed my quality of life in my home. Our back porch, even though we had just insulated the walls, it was still really cold. And you know how horrible it is with Chicago winters. Going to the basement to get our laundry, it was freezing. Mike recommended this solution. Now it's really perfect and it's made our entire house warmer. so really just such a wonderful contractor.
