We've stayed here a few times and really enjoyed it but yesterday was terrible. My daughter wanted to stay here for her birthday and it will be the last time we go back. The breakfast is no longer complimentary. 5 dollars for adults and 3 dollars for kids 10 and under. It wasn't very good and not a very big selection. When we went to the pool there were atleast 10 kids in the hot tub with 2 adults that were vaping. In my daughter room her pillow and a towl had dried blood on it. Completely unacceptable. This was Completely different from our previous experiences there. The staff is always very friendly but that was our only positive take a way
The Hotel is in a great area right off the highway and a good spot for family’s with kids. The pool is an amazing size and the hot tub is good too, there is a sauna right off the pool deck, great sit for family’s to get together with available rooms to rent. The rooms are nice size but they had a wired chlorine smell but that might of just been my room, the walls are not sound proof and you can hear the people in the room next to you ( if there being loud), also getting around the hotel is hard because it is so confusing. The breakfast is a decent breakfast with not much choice of food and the rush you out. Overall I had a good experience.

Great location- only about a 10-20 minute drive to downtown Detroit. The contentinental breakfast was really good, probably one of the better ones I've eaten at a chain hotel. My only complaint was that the hallways reeked of Marijuana, but I can't fault the hotel itself too much for that.
My partner and I decided to come back after 2 years. We loved it the first time, the sauna, the pool, the amazing service, the breakfast was okay. This year we decided to come back, -Breakfast was now $5 per person per night, which, we got cheaper and better at the shopping center Rooms: First Room: -Our room was not properly cleaned (we got moved but it was still bad, highlighted below) -The bed had wet yellow stuff on it, probably from whomever was in there before and made my partner breakout -floors were not swept, had wet spots/staining? -not barely any Toilet Paper in the room, and no extra left -sink dirty We did have to run down and grab everything ourselves as the housekeeper leaves at 3pm, which seems a little strange to me, but I ran down 2-3 times. Thankfully they offered to switch us, or so we thought. Second Room: We thought this would be better, it was.. Something -Air conditioner/heater was LOUD, we took a video for the refund request -Floor again was not swept (hardwood) -No carbon monoxide detector (or one was missing unlike the other room) -I had to say about 2 plugs actually worked, the other ones were loose or didn't work whatsoever. It was just unfortunate to go from a 10/10 hotel to a 2/10 On a great note: the Shopping center nearby was fantastic and a fun day out! I hope they improve some of the amenities again, or improve the rooms generally! Then maybe we can consider coming back!
I've stayed here a few times and it's definitely one of the best hotels in this area. Prices are reasonable, usually fluctuating between $90 and $120 depending on the time of year. Parking is free. Staff have always been so friendly at check-in. This is an old-school hotel. Not your typical rectangle building with a lobby and two hallways going left or right. You can get lost in this place! The first floor has some pretty fun vintage car art on all the walls that could take you an hour or more to look at. There's a huge selection of snacks, drinks and other goods available in their sundry room and prices were reasonable. If you forget something, they've probably got it in their shop. The rooms are good. They recently upgraded from carpet to vinyl flooring, which was a smart move because the carpet was getting tired. Beds are cozy, they give you 5 different pillows, everything has always been incredibly clean, AC always works, heat always works. You know, the things you want from a hotel. The pool area is the star of the show here. I've never seen a bigger indoor pool area in my life. They've got a huge hot tub that is adults-only, a dry sauna room and a monstrous heated pool. There were plenty of tables with chairs as well as lounge chairs all throughout the area. The towels they provide are tiny so grab a couple before you get into the water. There is a restaurant and lounge on site (again, something most places don't do anymore!) Laura the bartender was so kind and personable when we visited for dinner. The breakfast buffet is NOT included in the hotel price, it's $5 extra per person. That said, there were so many different items to choose from and I have no problem paying $5 more for a hot buffet. Overall, great hotel.
