Wow, wow, wow, wow!!!! This hotel exceeded my expectations and they were HIGH! My husband and I visited as my birthday getaway and days before arrival Greyson, the front desk liason contacted me and offered to help my birthday become a nice getaway. My Elite status I was given an upgrade, but I feel like to make my birthday nice, he would've upgraded me either way. The stay was amazing with spectacular views. The room was spacious and the shower was devine!!! After checking in Jesse, Adam, and Ben all stayed in contact with me to ensure my stay was pleasant. My room service of chocolate strawberries and a small charcuterie board hit the spot. The lounge was great as champagne was flowing and the hostess was so energetic. The Mico restaurant for breakfast was set so beautifully with a live violin player and sounded so beautiful. Horace was our waiter and he was so kind and the food was very delicious. Simple breakfast, but yet so good! I had a great time at this hotel and we will definitely return!
Mid at best. Have stayed in a ton of hotels lately including 2 Marriott properties in Dubai just a few weeks earlier. This was a MAJOR let down. Lobby is minuscule. No check in for status members. Elevators are freaking weird. Lounge access is a waste ( especially compared to the Sheraton in Dubai I just stayed at.) This is by far the loudest hotel I’ve ever stayed at. Doors slamming at all hours. Every single Hellcat drives by full throttle and you can hear it clear as day all night long. Windows are not soundproof in the least bit. I got an absolutely horrible nights sleep. Lighting in bathroom again mehhh… Restaurant downstairs is great for dinner and mid at best for breakfast. I’ve had better buffet style breakfasts in Europe than this. It was tasteless. Staff was great though and very attentive!! Overall, for the money would I stay here again? Nope, never. I got two nights in Dubai for the price of this one night in Charlotte. If you only care about a decently clean hotel and zero about sleep quality then this is the place for you.

Planned a lovely mom’s night out weekend with 2 of my girlfriends. We paid extra to have access to the executive lounge. What a joke! We were treated extremely disrespectfully by Linda, the lounge hostess. She never greeted us walking into the lounge and then when we asked for the “complimentary champagne” (that she was happily pouring, and pushing on her friends) she reluctantly gave us a tiny pour and said yes but that’s it. I dismissed it thinking I was overthinking the situation. We went to check on our room as it was supposed to be available by 4 PM. It was not ready. This was at 5:30 PM. So back in the lounge, we asked for another pour of champagne. Linda was extremely dismissive and said “this is all I can give you as I need to save it” another teeny tiny pour. Mind you she was happily pouring it for friends multiple times. Being that our room was not ready on time and they advertise complementary champagne- which technically we paid over $100 just to access it. It was such a joke! We felt extremely unwanted in the lounge. I don’t know if she thought three younger women wouldn’t give her a tip or what?? I won’t even get into the racism issue. I have friends and family that I’ve stayed here before and after this, I will be telling everyone about my experience and advise them not to stay at this hotel, extremely disappointed, way overpriced and we felt like a bother.
We had a great stay at the Gran Bohemian and would absolutely stay here again. The standout for us was the service. Even before we arrived, the team was incredibly accommodating—working with us ahead of time to make sure we had the right room setup and specific requests handled, like firm pillows and a bathtub. That level of pre-arrival attention made a real difference and set the tone for the stay. The room itself was beautiful, comfortable, and well thought out. Everything felt intentional and upscale without being over the top. Service throughout the stay was consistently strong. Breakfast was easy and smooth, valet was fast and efficient, and staff across the board were friendly and attentive without being intrusive. One small note for anyone who trains regularly: the hotel gym is fairly limited. If a proper workout matters to you, there’s a Planet Fitness literally a 3-minute walk away. I already have a membership, which made it easy, but you can also grab a short-term or 7-day pass without any hassle. Also worth mentioning—this is a city hotel, so street noise is part of the experience. It didn’t take away from our stay, but if you’re someone who needs complete silence to sleep, I’d recommend bringing a sound machine or similar. Overall, a fantastic experience with excellent service, a great room, and a team that clearly cares about getting the details right. Highly recommend.
Husband had a work trip in CLT for the weekend so the kids and I tagged along. Upon arrival, the hotel is beautiful and valet and front desk teams were great. Then everything went downhill. From the 12th floor, even with a sound machine in the room. we heard every noise from the street - sirens, screeching tires, loud music from the cars driving by and engines revving- music from the room next door, and later found out that noise we thought was coming from the same neighbor was actually from the rooftop bar. We all slept horribly. The next morning we spoke with the front desk. They understood and worked with us to move our room to the 14th floor and said some rooms up ther have been renovated with a 2nd glass over the window to make it soundproof. Turns out, I’m lying here listening to nothing but the bass from the rooftop bar instead of sleeping. Moving rooms didn’t help at all. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone who values sleep and/or is a light sleeper. Husband will be staying elsewhere on future work trips as well. Adding to say Ms Sondra Corey up in the executive lounge truly is a gem. She helped make this a very fun stay despite our sleep troubles.
