I’ve visited this property several times over the years and have always had excellent experiences, which is why I want to highlight how impressed I was with the way management handled a recent, previously unknown issue. From the moment it was brought to their attention, the response was phenomenal. The team was professional, proactive, and genuinely committed to making things right. A very special thank you to Yolanda, who personally followed up with multiple calls. Her warmth, attentiveness, and consistent communication truly stood out and made me feel valued as a guest. Their thoughtful resolution, including a complimentary stay, reflects the same level of hospitality and care I’ve come to expect from my prior visits. That level of accountability and customer service has restored my confidence and reinforced why I continue to return. Grateful for the outstanding follow-through and looking forward to my next stay.
Finally had time to review our stay last month to celebrate early Christmas because we both have work on holidays. We arrived night and super excited for our overnight stay with my husband. Hotel has nice location, has restaurant at lobby and rooftop bar but it didn't show bedroom windows are blocked closely by another building so no view. Main issue bed linens has many hairs, thin black hairs and one thick pubic hair looking. Reported to front desk and was told we cant transfer to another room or to clean our room because all cleaners went home. They gave us new linens and asked us to changed it ourselves. They also took a picture of the hairs on bed and pillow. They also charged resort fee 20-24$ when i asked is there a pool in the hotel to charge resort fee after paying full the room and they said no. Since its just overnight stay me and my husband cleaned the bed and rest since we drove 3hrs to the hotel to celebrate early our Christmas. The rest of the room is clean except for the bed with multiple hairs in it. One hair is probably acceptable but multiple hairs with one thick pubic hair looking is not. We didnt have a choice but to stay due to late night and tired. We paid 142.97 for 1 night + taxes 200.97$

We had a great stay at the Godfrey! Rooms were spotless and smelled very fresh and clean. Great location, gorgeous view on the 11th floor. Employees at the front desk were professional and helpful with whatever we needed. They also will keep any bags you have before check in or after check out if you have a later flight. Will stay again!
I had a pretty good time staying at The Godfrey Hotel. The location is great—close to everything in Chicago, so it's easy to get around. The room was comfortable and clean, though nothing super memorable. It had everything I needed, like a nice bed, good shower, and decent amenities, but it wasn’t anything extraordinary. The vibe of the hotel is modern and stylish, which was cool. I didn’t spend much time in the lobby, but it looked nice if you're into that sort of thing. The staff was friendly, though the service wasn’t always super fast. Rooftop is great vibe. Overall, it was a solid stay. If you’re looking for a comfortable, no-frills place to stay in Chicago, The Godfrey is a good option. Just don’t expect anything too over-the-top. Valet is expensive.
I was gifted a spa day by a friend for my birthday and J my masseuse was AMAZING! She focused on all the spots I stated and ensured I was comfortable. I highly recommend her for your massage. Go see her !
