We loved our stay at Hotel Per La! We were in town for a wedding so staying downtown ended up being the best of both worlds for well priced rooms and beautiful finishes with an uber that wouldn’t be too crazy for everything we had to do that weekend. I usually wouldn’t stay downtown, but this location was easy to get cars anywhere I wanted to go and where else in California can you stay in a beautiful updated hotel from the 1920s with a rooftop pool! The rooms were small but incredibly well appointed and laid out. The beds were so comfy and the linens were gorgeous. We were so comfortable here. On the courtyard side it was silent, and the blackout curtains were wonderful. We loved the shower, all the finishes, and the good AC. I’d stay here again and I’d recommend it to others.
Absolutely loved our experience at the hotel pool! The atmosphere was relaxing, and the perfect place to spend the day with friends. What truly made the experience exceptional was our waiter Jose. He was beyond attentive, incredibly friendly, and always one step ahead of anything we needed. We were taken care of from start to finish. His outstanding service made us feel genuinely welcomed and elevated our entire experience. We ordered drinks through the day and he was always on top of it. Truly an amazing service! We ordered the shrimp tacos, empanadas, and the burger, and the season fries everything was delicious. My personal favorite was the burger it was incredibly juicy with a subtle sweet flavor absolutely amazing. Every bite was delicious! We can’t wait to come back and do it all over again. We live in San Diego and we will definitely be back soon.

I had an absolutely incredible experience at Hotel Per La. The hotel itself is stunning—housed in a beautifully restored historic building with timeless Italian-inspired architecture, elegant details, and a classic European feel that makes it unlike anywhere else I’ve stayed. What truly made this experience unforgettable, though, was the staff. I especially want to recognize Maria Quinones and Jose from valet. They both went so far above and beyond anything I would have expected. They genuinely took the time to check on me, make sure I was enjoying my stay, recommend places to visit around the city, and made me feel so welcome from the moment I arrived. As someone who was completely new to Los Angeles, their kindness meant more than they probably realize. It never felt like they were just doing their jobs—it genuinely felt like they cared about people and wanted guests to have the best possible experience. That kind of authenticity is incredibly rare, and it’s something I’ll never forget. Hotel Per La is clearly doing something right by having people like Maria and Jose on their team. They are two of the kindest, most genuine, and most welcoming people I’ve ever met, and they made this stay so much more special. If you’re considering staying here, don’t hesitate. The hotel is beautiful, but it’s the people who truly make it exceptional.
The rooms were clean and aesthetically beautiful. My most favorite thing about the room is the bath tub. It is big and fills so fast! (2-3 mins) absolutely loved it and it was so clean ❤️ Breakfast was down below on the first floor with excellent eggs and the salmon my fiancé had for dinner was delicious. Unfortunately, I did not appreciate my choice for opting out of housekeeping being ignored. I don't like anyone in my room when I am staying somewhere and was clear to opt out of it when booking the room however, I came back from breakfast to find them in there. Also the light switches were quite dirty, like visibly soiled. A little gross but manageable. I bring my own wipes and spray and was able to take care of it myself. Ladies, if you need good lighting to do your makeup.... I am so sorry but you will not find it by these mirrors. I suggest bringing a decent sized mirror you can stand up by the windows and using the daylight (you're out of luck if it's evening though). I would recommend this hotel.
I had an amazing experience at the Per La Hotel! The food at the restaurant was fantastic, the décor was beautiful, and the drinks at the coffee shop were great, especially the matcha latte and the granola yogurt parfait. The rooftop bar also had excellent drinks. All of the staff were incredibly kind and welcoming, and they gave me great recommendations throughout my stay. The gym was also very well equipped, with a wide variety of equipments available. The room was beautifully decorated and felt very homey, with great shower pressure and a comfortable bed. 10/10
