This park was right across from our hotel, so we visited it several times, both during the day and in the evening. It’s located where Pittsburgh’s three rivers meet and offers a beautiful green space with lovely views. A great spot to walk, relax, and enjoy the city!
I visited Point State Park and it was a calm, open space right where the three rivers meet. The first thing I noticed was how wide and airy it felt compared to the surrounding city buildings. You can clearly see the water converging, which is probably the highlight of the place. There are walking paths and grassy areas where people sit, relax, or just pass through. It wasn’t crowded when I went, so it felt pretty peaceful. The fountain in the middle is hard to miss and adds a nice focal point, especially when the weather is good. It’s not a place with a lot of activities, but more of a spot to slow down for a bit, take a walk, or enjoy the view of downtown Pittsburgh from a distance. I wouldn’t say it’s something you spend an entire day at, but it’s worth stopping by if you’re already nearby.

I am new to Pittsburgh and I live down by this park and I love it! I try and walk at least 3-4 times a week and it's been awesome watching everything come to life this spring. The fountain is back up and running everything is in bloom. I can watch them getting everything ready for the draft 2026. It's week taken care off and I feel safe out walking the park. Great to see families and people out enjoying this wonderful spot
If you’re visiting Pittsburgh, a stop at Point State Park is an absolute must. We were in town for a wedding and chose this as the spot for our family to meet up and take photos together. It ended up being one of the highlights of our trip and gave us memories we’ll cherish for years to come. Located at the point where Pittsburgh’s three rivers meet, the park offers incredible views of the city skyline from every direction. The famous fountain, well-maintained green spaces, and walking trails make it a great place to relax, explore, or simply take in the scenery. The park is also rich in history, being home to the former Fort Pitt site and near the Fort Pitt Museum. It’s even the starting point of the Great Allegheny Passage, which was especially meaningful for my dad since he has ridden the trail himself. Whether you’re a local or visiting from out of town, Point State Park is one of those places that perfectly captures the beauty and history of Pittsburgh. Highly recommended! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Great place to relax on a beautiful day, the fountain is very nice. I saw it from an airplane on final approach into PIT before. Nice shady spots you can find as well.
