People complain... that's what people are going to do. This place is great and I don't mind if everything's not perfect and catered to me. Mind my own business and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. I literally am able to open my window and look down on one of the most beautiful stretches of river I have ever seen. I don't even need my sleep sounds, because there is a huge waterfall right outside my window. The staff during the night shift is absolutely phenomenal. Particularly, the gentleman who has been here for a very long time. I tell him he looks like John Candy and maybe Dan Aykroyd. Dude has a really good heart and was super helpful If professional golfers, College teams, celebrities, you name it can stay here... I think it's definitely good enough for myself. Don't listen to all these other people on here because everybody always has something to complain about.
The hotel is beautiful and newly renovated. The rooms are huge and the bathrooms are great - separate toilet room and two shower heads! The brand of toiletries was very nice - liquid hand soap is always a plus! The body was and lotion were nice as well. The beds and pillows are very comfy! Microwave, large fridge for the wine! We had the breakfast buffet, made to order breakfast, drinks in the bar, and dessert. All were yummy but as always, a bit overpriced ina hotel. The local area has a few lovely places to eat and interesting shops and a really cute mini auto museum! The best part was the falls behind the hotel. They were lovely. Several suggestions would have made this place 5 stars: - There were NO hooks for towels in the bathroom. Not outside the shower, not on the wall. Nowhere for a hand towel. This is very inconvenient. We had to hang wet towels on the furniture in the living room. - This is the first hotel I can remember that didn't have a complementary coffee bar in the lobby. BIG miss and so easy to provide. - The hotel could take advantage of the beautiful falls and patio they have. Put some chairs with fire pits out there. It would be a lovely place for evening relaxing (because the falls are beautifully lit) or for morning coffee. I would really have loved being able to grab coffee in the lobby and go down to the falls. THIS in itself would bring me back. - We specifically chose this hotel over another because online it says there was a hot tub. The hot tub is permanently closed but they don't tell you that until after checkin. Another big let down. The hot tub are has huge windows and a patio overlooking the falls. This would have added so much to our morning coffee or late night relaxing.

My review is only based on a visiting friend's positive account of her stay and my own personal experience at the restaurant downstairs. The friend absolutely loved her room and said the reception desk people were awesome. Nice parking lot. The food at the breakfast buffet was horrendous. Reminded me of the free rubbery continental breakfast at Hampton Inns but just in a fancy dining room with a nice view. Actually, we sat on the side of the dining room with an ugly view though, but it was close to the food. Really uncomfortable chairs. Price was reasonable. Server was suuuper nice.
The Sheraton has been a staple in Cuy Falls for years. I've hosted parties, had folks stay in the rooms for golf outings, enjoyed the restaurant, the pool etc for years. Last night we celebrated 3 birthdays in the lounge overlooking the river on a beautiful snowy evening. The service was once again outstanding. Ryan per usual went above and beyond and helped us take a great family photo. We are lucky to have this gem in our city but even luckier to have the amazing folks who work there and make it officially fabulous.
We arrived in town for a work thing, stayed one night. Location perfect, right next to the waterfall – window opened up to it rushing down, couldn’t look away. Room huge, spotless, even smelled like fresh linen. Staff smiled like they meant it, asked if we needed anything every five minutes. Honestly, for one night it felt like a mini-holiday. Strongly recommend!
