Chosen Family Medicine

I’ve been so worried about finding a primary care provider since my wife and I moved to Nashville. I finally found myself paying way too much money for urgent care costs because I was naïve enough not to realize it self-pay at a primary doctor is less expensive. Anyway, I bit the bullet and I tried this place and from the second, I walked in the door. I was so glad that I did. Immediately the environment is welcoming and clean and warm. As far as aesthetics go, it’s very easy on the eyes and does not make you feel weird about being at a doctors office. They’ve done a wonderful job with the interior of this building. But beyond that, as soon as I was called back, the staff was incredibly friendly. I did not run across a single person that I did not feel like would be my best friend. By the time I spoke to the doctor, he listened and explained everything that I needed to hear he prescribed you what I needed and I was in and out within minutes. This is a very professional office. You can tell they work with their heart. That is one of the most difficult things to find in this world … is people who care about their job jobs and care about people. I recommend this place to everybody even though I want to keep them all to myself! I need them to stay in business so please please please go see this place if you need a doctor to speak to XO

Very disappointing experience. We completed the online check-in before our appointment, including uploading a photo of our insurance card, and everything appeared to be in order. After arriving, we waited about 30 minutes while the front desk staff tried to verify our insurance. We were then told they couldn’t verify it and that we would have to pay as a self-pay patient. We left without being seen after taking time off work and completing all of the pre-appointment paperwork. We immediately called our insurance company, and they confirmed that Chosen Family Medicine is in-network and that our coverage was active. The appointment ended up being a complete waste of time due to what appears to have been an issue with the office’s insurance verification process. I understand that verification issues can happen, but after completing online check-in and waiting 30 minutes, I expected the office to have a better process or be willing to work with us instead of turning us away. I will never return or recommend them again.
