I went back and forth about leaving this review, but I decided it was worth it because maybe it could save someone else from my experience. I'm new to the area and needed an oil change. Pinky's kept coming up, so I decided to get an email quote and make sure they carried my oil. I called the next day to see if I needed an appointment and was told oil changes were done on a first come, first served basis. I decided to take my car on a Tuesday and got there around 11:00 am. Everything seemed to be going well while they were taking my information, until I asked Mike around what time my car would be done. His entire attitude changed and he rudely said that his guys were about to take a lunch break and would start on my car later. I quickly realized there was a miscommunication happening, so I reaffirmed that I wasn't asking to rush them, I was just unaware that I would have to leave my car there and wanted to know around what time I should come back. Again, Mike responded rudely and said they would get to it when they had a chance and would probably be done around 4:00 pm, but that I'd get a call. I left feeling very uncomfortable and wasn't sure this was the best place to leave my car. 4:00 pm comes around and still no call from them. I assumed they were busy, so I waited until 5:15 pm to call back, since I noticed they closed at 6:00 pm. I called and no answer, so I left a voicemail to check on the status of my car. 6:00 pm comes and no response from them at all. I wake up the next morning and I have a missed call from Mike at 7:53 am saying that he called me and spoke with me the day before around 4:00 pm letting me know my car was ready. I checked my missed calls, spam, etc. and I had no calls from Pinky's. I'm not sure who Mike allegedly talked to on my cellphone, but it wasn't me. I got to the shop to pick up my car and another man, who was extremely personable and kind, helped me check out. Mike then backed my car out of the lot and when I thanked him for his help, he shrugged me off. Unfortunately Mike's attitude ruined the experience for me and I won't be bringing my car back, or recommending my friends to a place that makes people feel uncomfortable.

Did some research and found Pinky’s Automotive. Started hearing some “funny” noises coming from my car and didn’t know where to bring my Thunderbird. Mike and Ralph were great! Honest, didn’t try to sell me on anything I didn’t need and got my car fixed fast. Very happy to find this shop and I definitely would refer them 💯
I was recommended Pinky's and thank goodness! I had a bit of a mystery going on with my car, and the team was dedicated to identifying the issue and worked with me on the best possible solution. They were transparent about prices and gave good explanations for the work needing to be done. I appreciate the level of effort the put in to resolve the issues. I would absolutely recommend Pinky's to anyone in LA looking for a fair and reasonable team for car troubles!

These dudes are legit. I am not a car guy, but have a 1983 Toyota FJ60 Landcruiser that often needs a tender hand. Every time I take her in, she comes out running like new. In my experience, Ralph, Frank and team are honest, fair and informative. They tell me what I have to do and what I should do (if my ship comes in.) They always provide a detailed list of work done and suggested which is great with an old truck your wife wants you to sell every winter :) Been with them for about 5 years and now I drive from the west side to see them. Maybe I’m crazy…in love.
