We stayed at the Fairmont and received a breakfast credit to The George. Without that credit, I’m not sure we would have tried it for breakfast, but I’m so glad we did! We ended up eating there every morning, and after we checked out, we genuinely missed how delicious the breakfast was. Jorge was our server and he was awesome—so much so that we requested him for the rest of our mornings there. Over the course of a few days, we tried a bit of everything: the omelets, oatmeal, pancakes, and the French toast. The French toast was the clear winner for our group and we ordered it multiple times! Even better is that they offer a gluten free version. Another standout was the green juice, which was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend, whether you are staying at the hotel or just looking for an incredible breakfast spot in Seattle!
The George sets a standard that very few restaurants in this city can match. The space alone is worth the visit. Art deco chandeliers, soaring ceilings, Palladian windows, hand-painted tiles. It is genuinely one of the most beautiful dining rooms I have been in, and it has been that way since 1924. The renovation did it justice without stripping any of the soul out of it. The food is exactly what you want from a Pacific Northwest brasserie. Locally sourced seafood, premium cuts, seasonal ingredients that are actually treated with intention. Nothing feels like it is trying too hard. The cocktail program is creative without being gimmicky, which is rarer than it should be in Seattle. Service was attentive and polished in a way that matched the room. You can tell the staff takes pride in the experience they are delivering, which makes a real difference at this price point. My wife and I came for dinner and it quickly became one of our favorite date night spots in the city. If you are looking for a special occasion restaurant or just want to eat somewhere genuinely excellent downtown, The George earns every bit of the reputation.

Great Vibes and Service, But the Food Missed the Mark The front of house team at The George absolutely nailed it. The atmosphere is fantastic, the beverage order was prompt, and both the server and bartender were incredibly friendly and helpful. The food, however, was a mixed bag for the price point: Shishito Peppers ($18): On point and delicious. Tuna Crudo ($22): A major disappointment. The meat had dark spots, looking like it either sat out too long or was poorly thawed. It wasn't fishy, but the texture was like rough on the tongue. Come for the great drinks, excellent service, and atmosphere, but the kitchen needs better quality control on the seafood.
We had an absolutely wonderful experience at this restaurant! From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. The atmosphere was beautiful, warm, and inviting, creating the perfect setting for a special celebration. We visited to celebrate a birthday, and the team truly made it a memorable and special occasion for us. A special thank you to Daniel and Mr. Eyup for their outstanding hospitality and attention throughout the evening. They made us feel genuinely welcomed and took great care of us, which made our experience even more enjoyable. The food was absolutely delicious — every dish was prepared with great quality and attention to detail. The portions were also perfectly satisfying, not too small or too overwhelming, just ideal. Service was fast, smooth, and professional, and we never had to wait long for anything. We also loved the music and overall ambiance, which added so much to the experience. Everything — from the atmosphere, service speed, food quality, and hospitality — was simply excellent. Thank you for giving us such a fantastic and memorable experience. We truly enjoyed every moment and will definitely be coming back. Highly recommended!
