Pegasus Taverna is an excellent restaurant Greektown neighborhood in Detroit. I had been there twice in three days because of the delicious food. It was such a great spot and they offer indoor or outdoor seating. The place was well organized and it was very clean, especially the restroom was spotless. First time I ordered appetizer combination which came with cucumber garlic yogurt, Greek caviar, peppers, beets, hummus, feta cheese and artichoke. All of them were so delicious especially Greek caviar was magnificent. I had Greek trio as a my main course. It came with spinach cheese pie, moussaka (eggplant with ground beef) and pastitsio (macaroni with ground beef). I really enjoyed all of them and didn’t leave anything in my plate. Second time I ordered classic Greek salad with octopus. They cooked octopus very tender and seasoned very well. I had broiled lamb shish kebab which came with green beans, rice, onions and peppers as a my main course. Everything was very very delicious and I wish I could try more food in there. The atmosphere of the restaurant was very nice and of course they played good Greek music in there. The service was very nice especially my second server Adham was great. Their prices were very reasonable and their portions were great. I highly recommend this beautiful restaurant.
One of the best Greek meals I have ever had! My husband had the gyro but I went for the Pastitio (Greek comfort food for sure!) we had the cold stuffed grape leaves as an appetizer. And topped it off with Rice pudding! Don’t miss this stop in Detroit’s Greektown area!

We attended a concert and were looking for something open after 11:30pm and needed something open late. It is open until 2am on a Saturday! We were in and out in about an hour. The service was ok. I feel like our waitress was only half listening when I ordered. She did ask me to repeat it. We ordered hummus as an appetizer and she brought out the flaming cheese instead. We didn’t want the cheese to go to waste because she had already lit it on fire so never ended up getting the hummus we ordered. We also ordered the Greek Spaghetti and the Lamb Shank. The Lamb shank was very good! The plate itself was a little messy and the green beans seemed like they were canned but it was good nonetheless. The Greek Spaghetti was good as well. All in all the food was hot and good.
First time having Greek food and Pegasus did not disappointttt okurrr✨ The second we walked in, we were greeted with so much energy and seated right away. The food was actually insane, and the portions were HUGE. For starters, we got the Opa (saganaki), tzatziki, peppers, roasted beets with potato garlic sauce, and lemon rice soup. For mains, we got the lamb chops, Greek Trio, and a gyro plate. Everything was hitting, but as a certified soup lover, the lemon rice soup absolutely stole my heart. 💛 The roasted beets with the potato garlic sauce??? Fuegooo Lowkey my only mistake was eating way too fast because everything was so good 😭 I got full in record time and had to take most of it home. Also, shoutout to our waiter Dimitri because he is an absolute 🌟. His energy was unmatched and honestly made the whole experience even better. 10/10 first Greek food experience. The food ate, the service ate, and now I’m eating leftovers. 🤭
Great and historic Greek restaurant in heart of GreekTown Detroit. Good food, open late, fun atmosphere. Been going here for decades.
