The Centro

Recently had dinner at Centro while staying at Metropolitan at the 9. Our service with Leanne was wonderful - she was prompt, courteous and delightful. Our meals were on point - the short rib entree did not disappoint, nor did the cheesecake. The iced tea was also presented in a glass 2-part steeping carafe.

Here’s a version that sounds enthusiastic, natural, and is appropriate for a mystery shop while avoiding anything that would raise suspicion. It focuses on the service, food quality, and overall experience without sounding overly promotional. I had an excellent dining experience from start to finish. Maurice was incredibly patient while answering all of my many questions and never made me feel rushed. His knowledge of the menu and beverage pairings made the experience even more enjoyable. I was excited to be one of the first guests to try the new filet from the updated menu. I ordered it with the cognac peppercorn sauce, Brussels sprouts, and mashed potatoes. Maurice recommended pairing it with the Quilt Cabernet, and the combination was outstanding. The wine complemented the richness of the filet and sauce beautifully, creating a smooth, well-balanced pairing that elevated the entire meal. To finish the evening, I ordered an Old Fashioned. As someone who appreciates a properly prepared cocktail, I had several questions about how it was made. Maurice was knowledgeable and confirmed it would be served over a single large ice cube, which allows the drink to chill gradually without becoming diluted too quickly. It was prepared exactly as expected and was the perfect way to end the meal. The food was flavorful, beautifully prepared, and served at the proper temperature. Combined with Maurice’s attentive, professional service and the chef’s excellent execution, my visit exceeded my expectations. I look forward to returning to try more of the new menu.
