Tip: If you're driving to the restaurant but are on the opposite side of the road, pull into the gas station to access The Industry's parking lot. Indoor and outdoor seating is available. It seems like reservations are preferred. We were lucky and were sat on the right side of the restaurant with the small tables near the bar. All of the staff was very courteous. There's a cocktail menu available along with a 1 page for menu. Most of the main meals seemed to be around $30. The burger was $20 (other handles are similarly priced) and it was deliciously juicy. It was accompanied by plenty of paving stones (a nice twist on fried potatoes). The decor is a chic farmhouse. The restaurant was clean. Tables were promptly cleared and the bathroom was clean. I would come back here to try some other food.
Came here during my bachelorette trip, and the service was absolutely amazing! Our server, Paul, went above and beyond for our group. We tried a variety of cocktails and every single one was fantastic. The food was to die for; I tried a bite of the duck (pictured) for the first time and it was incredible! The portions were generous, too. If you’re trying to pick an appetizer, the bread and spread is a must. When we got our checks, they even gave me a thoughtful congratulations card with a little extra surprise inside. I will DEFINITELY be back. This could easily become one of my favorite spots!

The Industry is an excellent resturant in the akron area. It actually achieves a fine dining atmosphere and food. We'll start from the appetizer with the deviled eggs which we're so good. The yolk mixture was incredibly smooth and the pork belly was incredibly crispy. It added such a nice texture to what is normally a very soft dish. The chicken gnocchi was very good it is basically their take on Chicken Parmigiana. The chicken under all the sauce and cheese was still crisp. The sauce a wonderful heat to it which help lighten what would be a heavy entree. The gnocchi were soft and not overworked. Then finally the duck. The duck was an incredible flavor with the pairing of a blueberry sauce. I would have liked to seen the skin of the duck more crispy but that could have also been due to the blueberry sauce over it removing the crispy texture of the skin. The duck could have also rested just a little bit longer before slicing and serving it did "bleed" so in the potatoes. But it did not hurt the flavor at all, it only slightly dampened the presentation. But the temperature of the duck was nailed it was a perfect medium rare. The potatoes with it were very good. Light and airy but creamy they was a textbook example of mashed potatoes.i would recommend reservations for this place it is a very tiny dining room. They are available on their website. The parking lot is also quite small but spots were available. There is a patio and bar area that are first come first serve. If you're in the akron area or canton area The Industry is a must do.
I waited to try The Industry after the startup craze was over, and I wish I had come earlier! Definitely a new favorite spot in the area after seeing the inside of this historic schoolhouse. The atmosphere was accompanied by light decor and pleasing art all over the walls, and plenty of overhead light and soft background music. The food is where The Industry exceeds: we started with lobster rolls, which were flavorful and soft. All four of the entrées we ordered were cooked to perfection and represented a vast texture profile. We can’t wait to come back in the summer and enjoy our time on the patio! Service was a little bit slow, but it did not ruin our evening because the food was well worth the wait.
This was one of those rare, truly perfect dining experiences. Tucked away in a historic building that you could easily miss without navigation, the setting alone feels special, understated, preserved, and full of character. The small signage and tucked-back location only add to the sense that you’ve discovered something exceptional. From the moment we walked in, the tone was set. The hostess was warm, polished, and genuinely attentive , even catching a slightly uneven table before we sat and immediately relocating us so we could settle in comfortably. That level of awareness and care says everything about how this restaurant operates. The service throughout the evening was outstanding. Our server was personable, deeply knowledgeable, and spoke about the menu with such authenticity and pride that we genuinely thought he might be the owner. It’s rare to see that kind of connection to a restaurant, and it elevated the entire experience. The menu had just been updated, and the team was excited to share it (which made the evening feel even more special). The bar deserves its own recognition. Everything is made in-house, with bartenders dedicating time early in the week to prepare fresh syrups and components. The Industry Old Fashioned and the toasted lemon drop martini were both exceptional and balanced, complex, and clearly crafted with intention. We started with the Brussels sprouts, which were beautiful!! perfectly tender with just the right amount of char and flavor. For entrées, the halibut with wild mushroom risotto was outstanding . perfectly cooked, delicate, and paired with a rich, well-balanced risotto. The chicken with house-made gnocchi in vodka sauce was, without exaggeration, one of the best chicken dishes I’ve had at a restaurant. Perfectly seasoned, expertly cooked, and so satisfying, especially since I was so hungry!! Portions were generous, presentation was thoughtful, and every detail felt considered. Even the restrooms stood out!! immaculate, beautifully designed, and reflective of the same level of care seen throughout the restaurant. This is absolutely a place worth driving for. The combination of exceptional food, genuine hospitality, and attention to detail makes it a standout. Don’t hesitate , truly…just go.
