Pretty cool place to visit once or many times, especially with Zoombezi bay included. If you’re thinking of coming more than once consider the gold pass. They had a sale in late spring where gold passes were about $200 per person for Franklin county residents. Check online for the sales. Having the gold pass makes for a much better experience for taking kids. All rides and animal feedings are free with it along with other benefits like 10% off in gift shop and free parking ($12 without). I usually really have to think about if the value is right with annual passes. The gold pass at $200 is easy value recovery at 6 visits. I’ve taken my daughter to zoo/waterpark about 10 times this summer and she isn’t bored with it. Both are big with lots to do. Zoo is so big trying to do it all in a day would be very tough. Food isn’t terribly expensive. No real dinosaurs on dinosaur island.
Loved this zoo!! The layout is wonderful and it makes it easy to see everything without doubling back or going on side trails. We spent over 4 hours and felt we saw most everything but definitely could have spent another 1-2 hours to see everything everything but it was very hot! Lots of options to eat and shop as well as places to sit in the shade. I would recommend buying tickets online to beat the line at the door and downloading the app so you can get live updates and have an interactive map. The habitats for most the animals are huge with lots of enrichment, places to hide, cool off, etc and it offers different viewing areas to help spread out the crowds when it's busy. Will definitely have to come back!

We visited here today. The zoo was very nice! The aquarium is nice too, just a little small. There are also rides and a water park. It was $15 to park and then approximately $35 per person to get in. There is additional costs for the rides. You can get a wristband or pay per ride. It took us 4-5 hours to do the zoo, aquarium and 2 roller coasters. Everything was clean and well maintained. The animals seem well cared for. We had a great time!
The staff from paying for parking to guides at exhibits were truly dedicated people. These people made our visit even better due to the information about the animals we were looking at with them. The zoo and aquarium are laid out to really maximize crowd movement and adding to viewing spots for the exhibits. The entire complex was really spotless, the grounds, restrooms or picnic areas. This was a very enjoyable day seeing all of the animals, fish and reptiles. We will rave about it to anybody we discuss our trip with in the future.
Lovely zoo! Great place to see a large variety of animals and enclosures were well decorated and cared for. Animals were out and about doing their things on the sunny morning we visited. It’s a large park and was moderately busy when we went, but there was still plenty of room and ability to see animals (9am - early afternoon, late June on a Tuesday).
