I booked three rooms, for two days this last weekend. Our rooms were in the veterans tower. The desk started by giving us perfunctory directions to find our accomodations. The three of us after following the front desk directions called the front desk, and again were told follow the signs. At the time of our stay there was a girls dance recital being held during the weekend. I can only assume someone turned the signs that showed the way to the rooms. Three highly decorated Navy veterans could not find the rooms. After dodging children, distressed mothers, and people literally sleeping on the floor, like refugees from a wrecked cruise ship, we found a maintenance worker who walked us to our rooms. Thanks to him!!! After we arrived at our accommodations I had to call the front desk again due to the fact my A/C unit did not work. No heat, no cooling. I did not see nor did the maintenance crew repair the unit during my stay. At the end of the day the staff has been measured, found wanting, and thusly contributed nothing to the entire experience. I will never stay at this hotel again. A total disappointment to say the least. I have traveled the world and have never seen people sleeping on the floor except in war torn countries. The dance recital seemed to be nothing but a mass of people searching for recognition of some sort. Absolutely unacceptable. Again the bottom line, I will never stay here again and I would advise you to choose another hotel for your stay.
Shout out to Jeff at the front desk, exceptional customer service! I arrived shortly after 4:00 PM ready to relax and Jeff had to repeatedly reach out to housekeeping to see if my room was ready. Their lack of response caused about a 30 minute delay in me being able to get into my room, which was indeed ready, so that was frustrating. But guess who knocked on my door at 8:30 AM the next morning to find out when I was leaving? Housekeeping! Found a clothing tag on the dresser from the previous occupant when I got into my room. It was nicely updated & spacious. Bathroom was renovated in that the flooring and countertop was new. The rest was old & worn. This hotel is clearly going through a renovation - renovated areas look great, though other common areas look worn and dirty. M Club was ok. $10 to park is a bit silly.

We recently stayed here and had a mixed experience. We originally booked a king suite, but it felt cramped, with a tiny corner shower that didn’t match expectations for a suite. When we asked the front desk about moving rooms, they seemed unfamiliar with the room layouts and first tried to move us into a double queen, even though we had booked a king. Eventually, we were moved into a standard king room, which was basic but comfortable and had a normal-sized shower. The hotel appears to have been recently remodeled, and overall the building looks nice and modern. However, our room was located far in the back of the building, and it felt like a long walk each time, even though the hotel didn’t seem busy. One downside was the $10 per day parking fee for a standard outdoor parking lot. It’s not a garage, and it wasn’t clear whether there was any active security or monitoring. Breakfast was another disappointment. We were told it would be a buffet, so we expected something quick and self-serve, but instead we had to sit down and order. The coffee was lukewarm and tasted old, though they did bring fresh coffee after we asked. The food looked good on the plate, but execution fell short: • Eggs were overcooked (the “over medium” eggs were not close) • Bread was cold • Potatoes and bacon were fine but unremarkable We asked for bananas, were told they were being cut in the back, and were eventually brought two whole bananas, which felt oddly unprepared. If we hadn’t had breakfast included with the stay, the All-American breakfast for two (eggs, meat, potatoes, toast, fruit, and coffee) would have been around $63, which is hard to justify given the quality. Positives: • Staff were nice and friendly • The hotel has a pleasant, updated aesthetic • Shower was nice, good pressure (except for peeling paint) • The fireplace and common areas were inviting Overall, this isn’t a bad hotel, but between the room confusion, parking fee, and underwhelming breakfast experience, it didn’t quite live up to expectations for a Marriott.
Elevator entrance area in tower section paint being scraped. Paint chips where you walk. Carpet section also removed. Area needs cleaned. But it’s my go to hotel when visiting Indianapolis. Price and location is good. Pool area and juccuzi area needs mopped badly. But nice for relaxing. I recommend the hotel even with the temporary issues present on my last visit.
Went to the hotel for Days of the Dead weekend and thought staying here would save time and money. We got the event rate for the room and thought at first it would be a good value. But after tax, parking fees, and various other fees, it was $110 more than what was originally quoted. The hotel was under renovation so no ATM and other services offered that were listed on their website. You'd think for the price, breakfast would be included...It's not. No microwave in the room. Room was cold and the toilet flushing just about kills your eardrums. TV was set at 12/31/2014 so the guide doesn't bring up current programming. The Skyline restaurant on site was pricey but the food was good, typical bar food. Everyone we met on staff was super nice. The overall value was eh, room mediocre, but the staff was great. Might stay here again...maybe.
