We can’t thank this mechanic enough for saving our holiday weekend road trip. About two hours into a 12-hour drive on Saturday, our alternator failed. We called around at noon on a holiday weekend, and most shops told us they might be able to look at it, but if it wasn’t finished by closing time we’d be stuck until Tuesday. Not exactly what you want to hear when you’re hundreds of miles from home. When we called him, he said he’d take care of it. He got us in right away, kept us updated throughout the repair, and even texted photos as he worked. The communication alone was better than many larger shops. He’s an independent mechanic who works out of his home garage, and I’ll admit I was a little hesitant at first. But his reviews were strong, so we gave him a shot—and I’m glad we did. He does quality work, charges fairly, and genuinely wasn’t going to leave us stranded. If you need someone who cares more about helping people than watching the clock, this is your guy. Thanks again for turning what could have been a ruined holiday weekend into a minor bump in the road.
I had a great experience with David at Lucas County Auto Mechanic. David was knowledgeable and clearly knew exactly what he was doing. His pricing was very reasonable, and he was extremely accommodating — even helping me out with my camshaft issue at 9:30 PM. He also took the time to point out other critical issues with my front left wheel bearing and CV axle. Honest, skilled, and reliable. Highly recommend!

Was charged an outrageous prices by all the “big chain” auto shops around for a throttle body replacement in my 2017 ford escape. Halfway to Ohio from Atlanta it went out and had to get it towed the rest of the way. Dave did it for a much better price, got me in on a Saturday, & did some extra stuff I didn’t even come there for. Definitely recommend
Car wouldn’t start, starter was going out. Got me in on short notice on a Holliday weekend. Great service, very fair price. Glad I found him on a google search.
Dave is a top-notch mechanic! He diagnosed my engine fan issue, and instead of shelling out $250 at AutoZone, he found a used one for $50 that works like a charm 👍👍
