I strongly recommend thinking twice before hiring this company. I rarely leave negative reviews, but after giving this company multiple chances to make things right, I feel others should know about my experience. I hired them to repair a leaking hot-water valve stem in my shower. George was professional during the initial inspection, but after that, everything went downhill. I had a confirmed appointment that was a complete no-call/no-show. I left voicemails that were never returned. Instead of explaining what happened, they scheduled another appointment without asking if I was available. After I complained, the supervisor, Ray, apologized and personally assured me George would come the next day. Then two different plumbers showed up hours earlier than the scheduled appointment while I was leaving for physical therapy. Later that afternoon, George called to explain his work van had been broken into and the replacement part had been stolen. While I understand emergencies happen, he assured me the part would be reordered and that someone would contact me. No one ever did. A week later I called Ray myself. He said he would look into it and call me back. He never did. I then sent him a detailed text explaining everything and requesting an update. That was ignored too. Meanwhile, my shower continues to leak every day, wasting water and increasing my water bill. The biggest issue isn't the delay—it's the complete lack of communication and accountability. Multiple missed callbacks, a no-call/no-show, appointments changed without my approval, and repeated broken promises are simply unacceptable. I gave this company every opportunity to resolve this privately before writing this review. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend a company that treats customers this way.

I want to start by saying that both Jose (the plumber) and Alice (assistant/administrator) we're both easy to work with and polite. At the end of the day my drainage was fixed but I have two issues. Pics of the issue and before/after below as well. 1) Jose showed up and diagnosed the problem quickly, he then told me to wait while he puts together an estimate. After a few minutes he says it's going to be $975?! For removing the water, cutting out some of the pipe and replacing it so that he can snake it properly. I said no way that should cost $975 and asked how much is the "water removal" he said $100!! After a lot of back and forth and me saying I needed to get a second estimate from another plumber he told me they could fix it for $475 (and I now had to take out the water myself to save money, which I did and it only took 5-min...). I really wish I didn't have to barter to get a decent price (I assume I still got over charged). Ridiculous that after a few minutes of talking they dropped the price by more than 50% off what he quoted 5 minutes prior. Don't let these guys take advantage of you, if you use them, definitely get a second opinion and negotiate. 2) This is way less minor, but I did try to book through the online "Booking" link. I didn't hear back for about 8-hours until I had to call directly. If I hadn't called I don't think I would've gotten a response. This is not a big deal, but it did delay me getting everything fixed by a day, which is a slight annoyance.

After dealing with a persistent downstairs leak for over 20 years—and having multiple plumbers fail to identify the cause—we finally found someone who could: Mark Velasquez from A-1 Total Service Plumbing. This was not an easy diagnosis, and Mark was very upfront about that. If it had been simple, it would have been solved years ago. What impressed me most was his thoughtful, methodical approach. He explored several possible causes, consulted with a senior technician, and ultimately recommended a more in-depth diagnostic test—flooding to pinpoint exactly what was happening. That level of diligence and willingness to go deeper made all the difference. Mark is also a pleasure to work with. He’s consistently personable, always smiling, and genuinely seems to care, not just about fixing the problem, but about doing right by the customer. He’s been on-site himself every day there’s been work, which says a lot about his commitment. This is now day four of the project, and in that time he’s brought in a total of four different colleagues as needed, making sure the right expertise is applied at each step. It’s clear he’s focused on getting this right, not just getting it done quickly. After 20 years of frustration, it’s a huge relief to finally feel like we’re in capable hands. Highly recommend.
Got a shower valve replaced and a expansion tank for my water heater put in I liked my interactions with Esteban. He answered all my questions and explained the whole scope of work. I was happy with the price too Day of, him and Mike came over on time and got to work. After completion they made sure to check both areas to make sure things were good I liked the experience i had, if future work comes down the line, I will definitely consider A1 again to get an estimate.
