Nice place to walk and have some rest from work. This area has some homeless people but they are not harmful or treat anybody. They just want to rest and get their food. HPD has a continuous presence there in addition downtown safety workers. There's always an activity there.
When we visited Houston City Hall, we get to know about the Hermann Square Park. Hermann Square is a public park, located in front court of the Houston city hall. There is a reflection rectilinear pool on axis with City Hall’s entry. The pool has cascade fountain. Around the pool, there are limestone seat walls, benches and paved walkway bordered with trees. During every Christmas, a Christmas tree is placed adorning with lights and ornaments. A great photo op with the reflection of Downtown skyline in the pool. My main concern is the lack of security guards outside the holiday season. Safety should be a priority year-round, I hope the management addresses this issue for the well-being of visitors.

Hermann Square is a great downtown escape—peaceful green space, a calming reflecting pool, and always alive. The green space is always well-maintained, making it a great place to just sit, relax, and people-watch. I’ve stumbled upon everything from lively festivals to small community events and even live concerts—there’s always a sense of energy in the air.
What a beautiful park! Went to a Reggae Festival with endless options! Probably the most biggest one we’ve been to yet! Atmosphere is 10/10 and it’s just beautiful during the night time
The staff is very rude to the homeless. Terrible company. The same show each year but the empathy keeps getting lower. Thankful for the cops ensuring that everyone is kept safe regardless of their circumstances.
