Came here on a friend’s recommendation and had a great experience. Alan and Jacob helped figure out an issue with my car when I didn’t even realize it needed a specific brand of sensor. They took the time to get to the bottom of the problem and fixed it right away. Laurie was also awesome—great customer service and really good at problem-solving. I’ll definitely be back if I need anything else done!
The bottom line: they do good work cheaply, but don't expect them to communicate well. Overall I would recommend them because the quality and price of their work is more important than the other issues, but make sure you're willing to check in with them often. Full review: The owner (Jacob, I think?) is a great guy, and the lady in the office is a sweetheart. Price: I needed my rear differential replaced or rebuilt. This is fairly complicated work, and I got a bunch of quotes ranging from $2,000-$4,500. Ross & Greenville did it for $1,026. And Jacob was actually trying to find a rebuilt one to get it done even cheaper. For comparison, Consumer Affairs says the average price is $2,500-$6,000. So it was an outstanding price. Quality: I've been driving the car for three weeks and have not found any deficiency in their work. It seems to have all been done correctly. I have two complaints though. First, they never called me. They had my car for about 6 weeks and I never found out what was going on unless I called them to ask. I called them 10 times over the course of those 6 weeks. They didn't even call me to let me know that the work had been completed. I'm sure they were just busy, but would have appreciated a quick update via call or text every couple of weeks. Second, I got my car covered in bird poop. I assume they parked it under a tree or something, but bird poop is acidic and can eat away at car paint if it isn't cleaned reasonably promptly. So now I have to go get my car paint fixed because there are spots where I can see the primer. That leads me to believe that my car had been left sitting there for a while. That's frustrating, but my car is kinda old and beat up anyway, so it isn't the end of the world.

Everything was great until the shop got busy. Owner went out of town and had the car for a month with no updates. Finally repairs were completed but my opinion changed about the shop. This was a few years ago. Never went back.
R&G Automotive has been working on my cars for several years. The shop has saved me 100’s of dollars. Dealerships have told me I needed repairs into the 1000’s. R&G would either tell me that the work was not necessary, or if it was, the bottom line would be far less than the dealership! You won’t find a valet, a mid century waiting room, or any other uptown amenities, but you will find a courteous, professional, and friendly staff who will tell you the truth and charge you the best price for your car’s repairs. Be prepared to save $$.$$!
Most trusted automotive work in the city. Went to Midas who decided I needed well over a thousand dollars worth of work before they would even address the issue I had. Ross and Greenville took care of my issue and came up with no need for additional unneeded work. Dropped it off in the morning and it was done by the end of the day. Don't know why I went to Midas except they were referred by Discount Tires. No more. Discount Tires is awesome but no need to refer to Midas. There is better.
