I hired Allside Roofing after they approached me about storm damage and explained they could help get my roof, gazebo, and front door covered through my insurance claim. The representatives were friendly and helpful, and I agreed to move forward. Throughout the process, I often felt pressured to turn over insurance funds before all of my questions had been answered. Communication regarding the door replacement was especially frustrating, as it took multiple attempts before I received clear information from a project manager. I was also asked to sign paperwork stating the job was complete before all of the work had actually been finished so they could obtain the final insurance payment. This left me feeling that there was more concern about getting paid than ensuring the entire project was completed properly and to my satisfaction. The roofing portion of the project went very well. The crew was courteous, professional, and the finished roof looks excellent. However, there were some issues during the project, including materials being delivered in a location I specifically asked them to avoid and debris being left on my back porch, preventing me from letting my dog outside until it was cleaned up. My biggest disappointment was the door installation. I expected it to be completed by a qualified contractor, but it was ultimately installed by a member of the roofing crew. The finished product is not level, has a large gap at the bottom, does not close properly, and the keys that came with the door were discarded. I was promised the keys would be delivered, but I have yet to receive them. While I am extremely satisfied with the quality of the roof and appreciate the friendliness of the crew, the door installation was poorly executed and remains unresolved. Based on my experience, Allside Roofing should focus on what they do best—roofing—as that portion of the project was excellent, while the non-roofing work fell far short of the same standard.
