We recently stayed at Hilton Universal Hollywood and overall had a good experience, mainly because of the people and the location. The biggest highlight is definitely how close it is to Universal — you really can’t beat the convenience if you’re planning a park day. The staff throughout the hotel were genuinely great. Everyone we interacted with was friendly, helpful, and professional, which made a big difference in our stay. That said, there are a few things to keep in mind. The hotel itself and the rooms feel a bit dated. Our HVAC unit also made a loud alarm sound at one point, which was unexpected and not ideal. Self-parking is pretty expensive at $50 per day, so be prepared for that added cost. (Which they also tax each day) We had the continental breakfast included, which made it worth it for us but at the regular rate of $26 per day, it feels overpriced, especially since there’s no hot food unless you pay an additional $10 per person during the week and $12 per person more on the weekend. The pool was cold (not terrible, but definitely brisk), and the hot tub wasn’t very hot. Overall, the location and the excellent staff are what really stand out. If you’re going to Universal and want convenience with solid service, it’s a good option — just go in knowing it’s not the most modern hotel and there are some added costs.
We got one of the corner rooms with city view and king bed. Pretty spacious, large tv, large bathroom, coffee and fridge. I thought there is supposed to be a microwave too, which we usually like to have, and which i kind of expect at $250 per night, but i don't see one 🤨 We like to go out to eat, order too much food, then i want to refrigerate it and microwave it later to eat late night. Guess we'll be eating it cold tonight. Great view here on the 15th floor - would've went even higher if we could. Receptionist gave us a choice between low or high room - i told her we wanted the best view lol. We just walked back from Universal Studios, it only took like 8 mins. We've stayed at the Sheraton here also, and it's very similar room. We've already been to the bar twice (been here less than 18hrs) - last night around 10pm we had loaded tater tots and chicken wings - both were really good, took around 15 mins while we had a drink. Love that there's a heated outdoor pool and hot tub - we'll be in there later this evening. Have a great time, we know we will!

The rooms were clean and very comfortable. Felt more like a studio apt. I had a full couch and desk, with a spacious bathroom. Was there for work, unfortunately I did not get the opportunity to enjoy any hotel amenities.
My stay at Hilton Los Angeles/Universal City was absolutely fantastic! ✨ The rooms were incredibly comfortable and well-appointed. The service was top-notch, with friendly and attentive staff always ready to help. The location is perfect too. Highly recommend! 🏨😊
The AC in our room was not working well and the shower pressure was pretty weak. The room was very clean and the always tidy on our return. When we return I'm probably gonna roll the dice to see if we get a better room someplace else.
