Jerry was very efficient and thorough. He explained everything he did, and he was careful to explain what needed to be addressed in the future. He documented the work he did as well as took pictures. He was not pushy and he was respectful of our association's finantial limitations. He applied coupons available to us. He even took the time to wash the boiler room floor before he left.
I recently had an issue with my furnace short cycling and thought I would call Chicagoland which I had great experiences with prior...then I was told that Chicagoland had merged with King which I was not familiar with. So we had a technician come out for a diagnosis which there were really quick to come out, but it went all down hill from there. The technician comes in and looks at me and begins explains to me based on the manufacturing date, its probably time to buy a new furnace. By looking at the date before diagnosis, it was already a red flag to begin with. I thought it was odd bc I never really had any major issues with this unit before and it hasn't really been giving us any real problems other than regular upkeep. But I was thinking maybe we do, since we've had that furnace since 2011. However the technician then starts looking over the unit maybe 15 mins-30 mins and explained he couldn't get any heat....and said he would patch us over to their sales guy which he was down the street to give us a quote. He noticed that we have a young child in the house and wanted to do us a favor bc he knew it was freezing in the house. So when the salesman came over, he was actually pretty nice and had a great personality he looked over everything and gave us a quote of 8700 for a new furnace. But something just didn't seem right about the technician, so I called my brother's HVAC guy and he came over to give us a second opinion and his professional advice. This guy came through gave a full diagnostic and found the issue was the drainage pipe and that all the mechanics of the furnace were fine and we did not need to replace this furnace but recommended a $5.00 drainage cover for the outside pipe to prevent any further issues with weather causing this issue again. Just to think to be told you need to replace and get a whole new furnace for $8700.00 but really it could be solved for $5.00. All this took was a skilled serviceman that knew what they were doing give a proper diagnostic and really try to resolve the issue without upselling me.....needless to say, really hate Chicagoland merged with King. It all worked out in the end and I found our new HVAC person we will be using moving forward and sorry it won't be King.

Outstanding service turned a sour experience, palatable. I had my furnace go out in 10 degree weather and after trying the easy fixes I could, I called for inspection. It was $99 for a diagnosis, which was much better than another quote I received. The man who came out and helped was amazing - very personable, empathetic, and seemed to care about getting me the right fix. No shady up charges or predatory tactics we all fear. And to top, I was given a bunch of other advice while watching/waiting. I would recommend to friends and family Pricing: I feel that it was very reasonable for the amount of work (not just turn off and back on, type of fix) and I did not feel “taxed” for it being an emergency (at 1 pm though).
On Thanksgiving day I noticed I had a leak in my kitchen sink. I called Chicagoland heating and plumbing the same night but due to it being a holiday and a recent snow storm, they were unable to come out to the following Monday. When the plumber arrived he looked under the sink for 30 seconds and he then informed me that I needed to replace my entire sink for $1500. I politely paid the $99 service fee and sent the him on his way. I then reached out to a guy on Thumbtack that not only quoted me $300 for the repair but also informed me that if the sink is not affecting the drainage system , it doesn’t need to be replaced. It is so sad to see this company doing stuff like this especially when it’s so close to the holiday and money is tight for everyone in this jacked up economy. 0/10 recommend.
My repair man was great. He was courteous and efficient. I really appreciated that he put on shoe covers while moving through my house!! He checked everything (I had a grinding noise happening) and now it runs smoothly.
