Stopped by Lucho to check out their coffee, even though they also offer Mexican menu. We are from California and do not usually find better Mexican food than back home. We didn’t try any of the food this time, so I can’t speak to that. The coffee itself was just okay—nothing particularly memorable, but not bad either. What really stood out, though, was the service. Everyone was super friendly and welcoming, which made the visit feel warm and enjoyable. I’d consider coming back to give their food a try next time, especially since the service left such a positive impression
Just went to Lucho for the first time and wow… this place is great. The location is perfect; easy to get to but still feels like you stumbled on a little hidden gem. Inside, the aesthetic is spot on: it’s got this mix of cute and fancy, but it never feels pretentious. You can go casual and feel at home, or dress up a bit and still fit right in. The vibe is what got me... cozy, and just instantly makes you feel good being there. The staff really add to that too, super friendly and attentive without hovering. Now the food and drinks… seriously on another level. Everything we tried was fresh and packed with flavor, but I have to mention the tequila selection—it’s very broad. You can tell they put a lot of care into it, and it makes grabbing a drink feel like part of the experience, not just an afterthought. By the end of the night, we were already talking about what we’d order next time. Lucho just has that balance of great location, beautiful atmosphere, amazing service, and food and drinks that keep you coming back. This one’s definitely going to be a regular spot for us.

Finally getting around to leaving a legit review for this spot as I am more or less a regular as it is soo close to my work. The reason for my regular visits are the Lattes. They take their time with these, they are not overly sweet, and are consistently on point. The Mexican spice latte especially is very tasty If you like heavy cinnamon in your coffee. If you're downtown in the business district area, this is the best place to get one hands down. The staff are all super chill and friendly. The bar looks awesome, and the cocktails look interesting and are reasonably priced. I always come here during my work day so I've never tried anything alcoholic, but I mean to come in and have drinks some evening soon. Also a big bonus to be able to sit under the glass dome in the main room of the arcade. The food (and I really hate to say this) is just OK - it's basically just kinda bougie white people mexican fare. To be fair here, I'm a vegetarian so I've only ever tried dishes with the veg chorizo (which is fine) and never had any real meat options, so maybe the meat itself slaps super hard. Otherwise, everything is just kind of bland and spiceless, pickled red onions are really sweet, if you get one of their selections as a burrito, everything just kind of blends together and you don't get any differentiating flavors or textures. I would love to see them have a "make it spicy" options where they would add a spicy sauce and sliced jalapenos or something to whatever item you get. Even just a house made hot sauce that was interesting that they would give you on the side would be a huge bonus. The addition of a cilantro garnish and lime wedge with the bowls would also go a long way. There have been a couple times where I have driven to Mixtexa to get lunch, then walked to this place after to grab a coffee when I would have much preferred to just get both there. All and all I hope this place can refine the menu and find a niche there as I would really like to see them be successful.
This restaurant is located in the dayton arcade, where you can walk out/be seated and admire the beauty of the building. The vibe was amazing, dark but lightly lighted environment with great music! I also really really appreciated the bartender because I wanted a cocktail but not something that would make my heartburn worse and she gave me a tum!! Such a great bartender, I can’t remember her name, but I highly recommend this place!!!
Lucho is a nice lunch and dinner spot for quick service, yet nicely presented and prepared meals. Nestled inside The Arcade building complex, this used to be the coffeehouse called “Gather”. The decor and mood is lovely and I was impressed with the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff.
