Dominion Remodeling

We hired Dominion Remodeling to do our kitchen remodel and are very pleased that we did. They are professionals, craftsmen and they do exceptional work. We highly recommend you check them out if you are searching for a reputable residential remodeling contractor in the Charlotte area. Our original mid 1980s kitchen was beginning to fall apart, the tile floors were cracked and the layout was terrible. Although Dominion offers design services we had a different designer rework the existing layout prior to our meeting them. Our existing kitchen was awkwardly designed as it was squeezed into a tight space in between the dining room and the den, which made it even more difficult to re-work. We were ready to begin the remodel in early 2020 but had to put our plans on hold. When the time came to let folks back into our house we contacted various local remodeling contractors but the bids we were getting back were not great. Some were sloppy and not well thought out, some way over budget, and some written basically on the back of a napkin! This went on for months. Most of these contractors did not want to even pull county permits which was a huge red flag as we needed engineering and structural work, HVAC, plumbing relocated and gas and electrical work too. A friend of my told me about Dominion Remodeling who had done a small bathroom remodel for her and how pleased she was with their work ethic and the actual work which she said was done well, on time and on budget. I called Nick, the GC at Dominion, and he came by and looked at our plans and gave us a bid which was well written, and included pulling permits! We had exacting needs and he was very patient with us while we worked out the terms of the contract. We wanted everything in writing so there would be no surprises during the build. Nick made all the adjustments we requested and made suggestions as was needed. We finalized the contract and work started in February 2022 when his crew came in and completely demolished our existing kitchen and rebuilt our new one! Nick said it would take 6-8 weeks and it took exactly 8 weeks. There were no cost over runs, no downtime, they showed up every day and put in a full days’ work. The job was well done and we are thrilled with the result and we highly recommend Dominion Remodeling.

I am so glad I decided to work with Dominion on my bathroom. Pretty significant change and involved moving my w/d into the bathroom. What set Dominion apart from other companies was that they consistently showed up when they said they would and followed through with an extreme attention to detail. During the project, I was kept fully up to date and everyone was extremely responsive via text. The end product absolutely exceeded my expectations, sharing pictures below. One of the things I like best about the design you can’t see and was Nik’s suggestion - a pocket door. I felt that the Dominion team collaborated with me throughout, providing suggestions I never would have thought of and providing options for me when I was either unsure or going down a bad road. Sergee is an unbelievable craftsman and worked so hard to ensure everything was done 100% correct and with a great deal of care. Highly recommend working with Dominion Remodeling.

We worked with Nik and team on a few moderate projects in our house that ranged from moving plumbing to doing highly complex wall trim work in our bedroom. They were absolutely amazing in their quality, friendliness, and at a very fair value. We’ll be working with them on a much larger project involving countertop, cabinets, and drywall work and are excited to keep the partnership going! Cannot recommend them enough!!
