I have been getting my car worked on since Downtown Auto Care was located in Fletcher Place, back in the early 90’s. You couldn’t ask for a better group of folks to take care of you. They are honest, fairly priced, and just good people. I have recommended many people to take their cars there for repairs and service and, every one of them have been more than satisfied. I highly recommend Downtown Car Care as the best place in Marion County to take care of all of your car needs.
I’ve take my car there more than once, and I’ve been very pleased every time. This time my car was not starting, and the figured out the problem quickly. Battery was replaced and my car has been working great since it was replaced. Fair prices. From start to finish, the process has been smooth and transparent. The lady who works there is super nice and helpful, got me in right away. I’m a loyal customer and will be back. And I tell everyone else to go there too. A+

It was my second time bringing my car here and once again I had a great experience. They're transparent, reliable, and genuinely friendly. Kathy is a pleasure to work with, and the mechanics are just as nice - as I was walking to the office to check in, one of the mechanics in the shop greeted me, which honestly brightened up my mood. I had been dealing with a tire that kept losing pressure and causing ongoing frustration. I had already taken my car back to the tire shop where the tires were installed twice over the past 3 months, with no resolution. When the low-pressure warning came on for the third time, I knew it was time to take it somewhere else. Since my car was also due for an oil change, I brought it here. I dropped my car off around 10:30 AM and received a call around 1PM. They quickly identified the real issue - a dented rim that had been causing the air leak the entire time. They gave me a fair quote for the repair and gave me an updated time for pickup. Around 1PM the following day, I got the call that my car was ready. While dealing with constant low tire pressure had been annoying, I was relieved that they found the root cause and fixed it efficiently. I live right down the street from them so the convenience is an added bonus. I will definitely continue coming here for service and I've already recommended them to my fiancé - who has since brought her car in as well!
I switched to Downtown Car Care 2-3 years ago when the place I used to go to stopped giving me good service. Great decision! Kathy at Downtown Car Care goes out of her way to be helpful. One time, she sent me pictures of the car parts to show me a point the car technicians were making. Today, she took the time to call Belle Tire for me to compare notes on what I had covered through them vs what she could do for me today. So helpful!!!!
Highly recommend the team at Downtown Car Care! They were able to diagnose and repair a strut issue that another local shop couldn’t take on due to equipment limitations—and even recommended I take it to DCC. The team had my vehicle back within three days from drop-off, inspection, and completed repairs. Truly a wonderful, trustworthy, and fair resource for downtown residents and commuters alike. I’ll absolutely return for future service!
