Mixed feelings on this hotel - hard to describe. First though, our interactions with the staff were excellent. The front desk staff, the breakfast area staff, the cleaning staff were all very friendly and helpful. The valet parking staff were great as well. Specifically talked to Beatrice and Josh who were warm, welcoming and efficient. Everything was newly renovated but the place still felt shabby in parts. Like the breakfast area. It really seemed like they used leftover furniture for guest seating. The whole room was arranged in an inefficient way - like the room was meant to be something else but then they realized they hadn't yet designated a space for breakfast. The room was huge but sparse. The glassware and dinner ware included in the room were awful. The plumbing worked in a way I've never experienced. The cold water valve always started hot and then over time got colder. How is that possible?? Such a strange room. While I didn't experience any serious issues I would choose to stay somewhere else next time for the same cost. I guess that's my main point, for what they charge for this room - I will shop around more next time I'm in Cincinnati.
Great rooms. Love the convence of a refrigerator and stove one upping the microwave to just elevate food. Full breakfast is nice. Also I just love walking into an old school Newspaper lobby on the first floor. And yes, I did take leftovers and make the breakfast potatoes into a steak hash, and add asparagus to my scrambled eggs.

King suite was great, but the shower area of the bathroom was lacking. Extremely dim lit. I also had reserved extra pillows and towels via the rewards program/suggestion. None of those were available. The rewards app pushes us towards a digital key, to avoid the process of a physical check-in. We still had to go to the front desk, as the digital keyy was not available until after we physically checked in and hade made it all the way into our rooms. Good idea, but needs some work. Also, hotel is showing some signs of ware and tear. The card reader is falling off the elevator wall. We are only one day in, but it seems breakfast could use a few more...or at least least a few better choices. Watched over just a few minutes the warmer for the bacon slide forward and knock the tongs off onto the floor, 2-3 times. It happened more than that, but was caught and put back into place. We'll see what tomorrow turns up.
The hotel was a bit of a mess with renovations happening, but there wasn’t any noise which was good. The room had obviously been somewhat recently updated which was nice. The valet parking was excellent, and Beatrice the valet was incredibly helpful and made the whole process super easy.
Spent $350 a day (including valet) on the room my family and I purchased. - Wasn't the room advertised on their website. - Wasn't duel vanity as advertised - Phone in the room was broken. I told the front desk, it wasnt replaced. - toilet seat was broken - no trash bags - Wasn't clean, smelled musty - breakfast area on the website isnt the breakfast area at the hotel - they didnt clean on 2nd day we were there - baby mattress didn't fit the crib, baby slept on a slant - shower curtain was made of cloth that was molded and stunk - a bunch of the outlets didn't work Buyer beware
