I walked in one recent afternoon cold off the street as my transmission died in my SUV near the shop. They mentioned if I could drop it they could start that day. I agreed and a few days later I had it back, running great. They even notified me of a potential catastrophic failure that could be avoided by a minor maintenance procedure. I’m so glad I found this place. It really is difficult finding a good shop!
Always a great help. I have an older model vehicle and they really take care of it. They understand how to fix things keeping cost in mind. I really appreciate them taking the time to determine the issues and get them corrected. They even gave us a loaner car since our was in the shop a while. Not only did Downtown Automotive accurately diagnose and replace only the components needed to eliminate the clunking and rattling in my front suspension—saving me from an overpriced and unnecessary repair quote from the Honda dealership—but they also identified and resolved an engine issue that Honda had ignored for the past four years. Honest, knowledgeable, and focused on fixing the actual problem rather than selling unnecessary repairs. Highly recommended.
