Houston was wonderful to work with, great communication and very knowledgeable. He diagnosed the problem with my unit in minutes not hours like previous experience with other companies. Lenny and Tanner were quick, funny and professional with the repairs. I have full confidence my issue was fixed right at a fair price. Exceptional Service from Consultation to Installation! I had a fantastic experience working with Sunset Heating & Cooling for our full system replacement. The Consultation: Our comfort consultant, Haydn K., was outstanding. He was thorough, incredibly patient, and took the time to answer all of my questions. He presented several tiered options and helped tailor a system based strictly on my priorities. I was highly impressed by Sunset’s robust guarantees and flexible financing options. Haydn even looped in his manager, Daniel, to help navigate some pricing resistance I had, ensuring we found a structure that worked. To top it off, he literally got his hands dirty by crawling into my crawl space to personally inspect our foundational ductwork. The Installation: The turnaround time to get on the schedule was impressively fast. Our installers, Justin and Tyler, arrived promptly and were professional and efficient throughout the day. When an initial equipment fitment issue arose, Justin handled it immediately, swapping it out for the correct furnace without delay. They wrapped up the main installation by mid-afternoon. Attention to Detail & Next Steps: Upon firing up the new system, Justin wasn't fully satisfied with the airflow. He investigated and discovered a section of damaged, disconnected ductwork in the crawl space. While he attempted a quick temporary fix, he felt the airflow was still being restricted. Rather than leaving it as "good enough," they scheduled a dedicated technician, to return to permanently repair the ductwork and optimize the system's full airflow capabilities. Edit: Brenden F came to fix my foundation ductwork. The airflow is now amazing and the house is more comfortable than ever. All in all, it’s been a great experience with Sunset. Haydn, Justin, Tyler, and Brenden are excellent representatives of the company. I’m looking forward to a long-lasting system and continuing to receive this high level of service throughout its lifespan!

I called on Thursday morning at 7:15am, and a real and nice human answered right away. I told her I needed A/C by Monday. I had A/C completely installed by the next afternoon. 😳 Also, Matthew was an extremely kind technician who gave us our quote, after a very thorough analysis of our setup. We were impressed by the level of attention to detail and friendliness. He did not pressure us in any way, even when we last minute decided to switch to the more affordable package. We are extremely pleased to have found such a great company!
I like to provide both the good and the bad (if any) with a review. I gave three stars because my expectation is contractors should leave my property as good if not better than they found it when they arrived, after they have completed their work. First the good: My sales person Taylor was great. Timely, full of information and provided proposals that showed he listened to me and what our needs were. I feel like I received a decent value for the services rendered and equipment installed. My installation crew was timely, polite and friendly. They asked good questions, went right to work and looked to me like they worked hard all day. Now the bad: We recently sealed our driveway (two weeks ago) and the installers left a muddy mess over a fairly large area which I had to hose and scrub off so it wouldn't stain the sealer. We have a crushed rock patio which is machine packed so it's flat. They dragged large boxes, packaging and equipment over it requiring me to go out with a hand tamper to pack it back down. The furnace was not plumb after installation. The previous one was. They spilled or dripped some kind of oil on our driveway. The thermostat was not level after installation. I removed it and leveled the mounting plate. They dripped PVC cement on our painted woodwork which when wiped off removed the paint. I specifically asked them to be careful of the painted woodwork. I know these may sound like first world problems but I am very tired of having to perform maintenance or clean up work after having contractors work on my house. It seems like this is the norm now rather than the exception.
From the start Eric Eccles was very knowledgeable and assured us with any concerns. He quoted us for a great Trane system and worked to get us a very competitive price with all the warranties and a duct cleaning service included. HVAC install Justin Dunaway, Tyler Whitman, and electrician Kade Gillispie showed up on time and performed an outstanding job replacing the furnace and adding AC to our system. Very clean work. Justin took the time to go over thermostat controls with us and the mobile app to control the thermostat remotely. The next day Elijah Nash arrived on time and did a swift job cleaning the ducting leaving it free of dirt and debris. Overall very satisfied with the job.
