Just stayed a few days for a leadership retreat. Rooms were comfortable. The only issue I had was that I came down twice due to keys not working. The 1st time they simply made me new keys. 2nd time I returned to the desk within minutes and I explained my lock had no lights at all however my group was leaving and I asked to get it fixed before I returned at 5pm. Front desk handed me my keys and said OK, nothing more. Got back at 530pm, and my key still didn't work. A manager helped me get in my room as I had 30 mins up prepare for dinner. It was clear the previous front desk gentlemen did nothing to address my issue as requested because when facilities arrived to help me into my room and plugged in the device to charge the device, my lock worked in seconds. It did work when I returned to dinner at 80m as it had been charged. Other than that, the staff was kind and helpful.
Good location but high cost. Service is spectacular. Rooms are ok. Not enough electrical Sockets in the Room I had. No Keurig Coffee Maker. They gouge you on Drinks. Good hotel but couldn't get a late departure. Honestly I prefer the Crowne Plaza which offers better value.

Quite a lovely hotel and room. From the minute I walked into the hotel, I was pleasantly welcomed by their signature scent Expansion, which is available as a diffuser in their store at the lobby. Every corner was of this hotel delivers elegance and style, I was quite captivated! The galleria mall is immediately across the street, with Nobu in direct view! This is definitely a great location, I highly recommend!
This was a very disappointing stay and absolutely not worth the $300+ per night rate. The rooms are old, worn, and noticeably dirty the entire space feels like it’s in serious need of a full refurbishment. For a JW Marriott, the condition is very far below brand standards. Parking is also severely overpriced, which only adds to the frustration of paying luxury prices for a subpar experience. Unfortunately, the breakfast was underwhelming as well. Not to mention an additional destination fee. Lounge is minimal tier, I’ve had better lounges at non-JW properties. Basically you will be nicked and dimed to death. As a Marriott Bonvoy Titanium member, I expected some level of elite recognition or an upgrade, but there was none. Elite benefits felt completely overlooked for an under-booked hotel. They’ll just say no upgrades and let the rooms go empty. Not sure what is with the five star reviews as this is far from it and completely misleading. There are far better options in Houston at this price point. I would strongly recommend staying elsewhere.
This visit was absolutely fantastic. The staff was phenomenal. From the time I walked in starting with valet, which was extremely friendly and engaged. The front desk staff was fabulous also! I was in a room that was next to the freight elevator. I did not notice the noise the first night because I got in rather late and was beat. However, the second day it almost drove me crazy but I had too much unpacked to move to another room which they did offer. They were very apologetic and in order to accommodate me, they gave me access to the executive lounge and a reasonable amount of points on my Marriott card. The bar staff was extremely friendly, including both shifts. I can’t rave enough about the level of hospitality this hotel provided. The workout area was also great. It exceeded my expectations. Thank you all for making the visit grand. It is obvious that the company spends a lot on employee customer service training and employee engagement. It really shows. They have higher the best of the best and kudos to everyone who I interacted with during my two days at this establishment. By the way, I was there for a Charles Schwab trading conference. I feel like I made friends and they are family and this happened only in two days. I will definitely be back. Thank you all and happy holidays!
