I have known John for 25 years or more and as my neighbor (until a few years ago he worked on plumbing and bathroom issues diligently, professionally and - my favorite part - very affordably for all the years I’ve lived in this house (since 1999). About 15 years ago he and his team tore out and replaced my entire kitchen and bathroom (his father was a fine carpenter and tile-man, among other skills). John plumbed both rooms so well that I’ve barely had a problem since. Sure there’s been the usual wear-and-tear over time, and I’ve always called him immediately. That’s because, as I told him recently when I needed his help, “You’re the only plumber I’ve ever used - because you’re the only plumber I know with absolute certainty I CAN TRUST.” Recently I purchased a new washing machine and expected the supplier to hook it up right on the day of delivery. Unfortunately the hose faucets - probably from the 1960s, I’d guess - were too rusted to remove the old hoses from, and let’s just say I had plenty of dirty socks and drawers to wash and wanted to get on with it. I called John and he came the very next day. Because I trust him, his crew and the sheer quality, efficiency and value-for-money of their work, I left a key in the mailbox for him, something I would NEVER EVER do with any other contractor, and he kept in touch with me while I was at work. He diagnosed the problem, texted me clear photos of the old faucets, quoted me a very fair price, waited for my confirmation, got to work on it and, in a dizzyingly short span of time, texted pix of my sparkling new faucets. Key back in the mailbox, off he went. That night, I washed them socks, waited for leaks just in case… And there were no leaks, no problems at all - and none since. Nor do I anticipate any - I know the man and his work. I can once again launder with confidence! Over the years John and his team have plumbed new toilets for me, rooted a blocked shower drain, gone under the house to fix old bad sewage pipes and each of those fixes remained, and remain today, properly fixed. Do not hesitate to call John if these kinds of problems arise. He works for multi-unit apartment-building owners and managers, and for basic clueless suburban chumps like me who don’t know one end of a wrench from the other. I’m exactly the kind of fool that cowboy contractors and rip-off artists can see coming a mile off, and take to the cleaners. JOHN’S PLUMBING IS NOT THAT KIND OF OUTFIT. They do honest, excellent work that lasts and lasts. They don’t pad the bill, and they communicate clearly all through the whole process. This is an exemplary business, run by honest and decent people. Any plumbing problems you may encounter, DO NOT HESITATE TO CALL THEM.

John's plumbing and Drain Services is a company whose experience and knowledge exceeds and surpasses all past companies that we have utilized in the past. They are extremely trustworthy and get the job done with such professionalism and care. They love what they do and personally have helped my plumbing issues from toilet valve installations to kitchen faucet replacements. They did an incredible job and they are my go to plumbing company! I recommend this company in high regards to anyone that wants a great job done with a great price!
Had a really nice experience with this company, and really happy to support a local independent business rather than a chain! I called after hours expecting to get an answering service, but Ana picked up right away and was very helpful and friendly, offering me a service appointment immediately or the next day, which was awesome. The issue wasn’t urgent, so the tech came the next morning. He was professional, communicative, and friendly throughout the repair. I also really appreciated that he was diligent about wearing shoe covers when going between inside and outside, and cleaned everything up in the bathroom nicely when he finished. Overall the experience was prompt and professional, everyone was nice, and the repair work was done well!
We’ve had a great experience working with John and his team so far. From the beginning, he has been very responsive, patient, and took the time to explain everything clearly so we could make informed decisions. We are currently in the middle of a larger project that includes gas leak repairs, a new tankless water heater installation, and a full copper repipe. Even though the work is still ongoing, everything has been handled professionally and the process has felt organized and well managed. The crew has been punctual, respectful of our home, and easy to communicate with. We have hired this company for multiple major projects now, including replacing all the copper piping throughout our house, repairing gas leaks, installing a new water heater and shut-off valve, installing a dedicated return line, and installing new exterior drains. Across the board, they have been absolutely excellent to work with. The entire team is kind, respectful, and communicates incredibly well. On top of doing high-quality work, they are very reliable, fairly priced, and have consistently honored our agreements and negotiations. Finding a company this trustworthy is rare. They are officially our go-to for all plumbing-related needs, and we will absolutely continue to use them. Highly recommend!
