This museum is very well maintained and has great exhibits; from pre-historic times which my kids really enjoyed to many interactive battle displays. We also loved the Tennessee Playlist exhibit. The little kids area is also very fun! In addition, it has parking and it’s across from all the Farmers Market. It was the perfect FREE family Saturday activity for a cold day!
Love this museum! I enjoyed the videos. hope to visit the museum again and join the guided tour! The exhibition in Time Tunnel was organized chronologically, and narrated clearly with some videos, which made the visit more interesting. The exhibit on music was fabulous too. It exhibited how Nashville has developed as a music city and Elvis started his career in Nashville! The lady with short hair at the reception welcomed everyone with big smiles. she was very friendly and helpful, which made the visit even more pleasant. I appreciated her recommendations to visit the beautiful falls in the surrounding and i did, that added more memories in the trip!!

Love this place!!! Different from other museums I have been too. The staff is super friendly and helpful. And free to get in and explore. They do have a donation box if you want to donate...I did. They also have a gift shop. A kids area for those with small children and handicap accessible restrooms. They have both stairs and elevators for anyone who is able to walk and for handicap.
This is was a last minute stop on a trip before the airport and it was an excellent use of time. Enjoyed learning about history of the state. Many exhibits and short movies Next-door to farmers market and food court as well as a beautiful park.
I dont think I've been to a museum I enjoyed this much. My husband and children split into groups reading and seeing all the amazing items they had on display. The way everything was layed out flowed so well and told the story of events in a way that was easy to follow. I can go on and on about this experience. We eventually left because the museum was closing =( but would absolutely go back. Anyone could easily spent a few hours here.
