Had an emergency hot water tank replacement on a holiday weekend. Called Mr. Rooter from a Google search and so glad I did. Service, quote, and customer service was amazing! Sam was thorough, friendly, and exceptional. Highly recommend and will absolutely use them again! 10 out of 10!
I had a very disappointing experience with Mr. Rooter. During previous visits, they only charged a standard diagnostic fee, and that fee would be applied toward the total cost if I agreed to proceed with the recommended work. That was fair and consistent. However, this time was completely different. No actual work was performed, yet I was immediately quoted over $400 just to move a washer/dryer to access the system—something that had never been charged in prior visits. On top of that, the previous invoice clearly stated that a water sample was already taken and would be sent to the lab. When I called to follow up, Adam was extremely rude and unprofessional. He told me that I “don’t value his time,” said he didn’t have time to talk unless I was ready to pay more, and then rushed to end the call. This was very frustrating, as I had already paid for the initial service and was simply trying to understand what happened and what the next steps were. Overall, the pricing felt inconsistent and the customer service was unacceptable. I would not recommend this company based on this experience.

Mr. Rooter’s team helped me get through the unsettling experience of having to replace my sewer connection from house to sidewalk. They were quick to respond, very professional, patient and thorough in answering my questions, and mindful to keep the inevitable “relandscaping” to as much of a minimum as possible. Noah, Nate, Kyle, and Sam were some of this team’s members. Thank you all for a job well done!
Adam&Pete were so very helpful&informative. They both made sure to spend the time to not only walk us through step by step what would happen from beginning to end but also made sure we completely understood what the issues were&how to prevent it from happening again! They were kind&courteous as well as friendly. From start to finish the whole processes was fast&professional. Adam made sure everything was in working order before leaving my home. No waiting& they were super fast getting to us&making sure to work around my schedule. I know they were super swamped with other people needing help as well but didn't make me feel like they rushed to get the job done! Pete took his time explaining how it all would be done between filling out papers&explaining their financing options they offer. Adam made sure to explain and ask before anything was done&was fast but professional. I would and will recommend them to anyone needing help getting their plumbing fixed! Mr. Rooter in general was a great choice from beginning to end! Amazing people&am forever grateful for their knowelage&promptness!! If you need you pipes jetted out definitely give them a call!
So I had a blocked sewer line, it didn't backup into the house so no crazy mess or anything. We needed to do a hydro jet to clear it out. First day was diagnosing and a free camera inspection. Next day they hydro jetted it, I had bought some plastic sheets for them to use because I guess the home owner has to take precautions or the poo just goes on the walls and floors. I asked if they needed me to hang a plastic curtain for any blow back, I was informed it pushes forward and should not blow back much. Welp it shot back like 15 feet right onto my new carpet, a few specs but we had the foresight to line most of the carpet with plastic but there were still gaps. Anyways I was not pleased with this, if they knew it might happen it would have taken a minute to put plastic up like a shower curtain. Just seal em in when they do the hydro jet, ceiling to as a few specs got up into my rafters. Find it silly the home owner needs to provide prevention measures for the plumbers. Was charged 1000 bucks for the hydro. 300 bucks to put in 2 hammer arresters on a washer and 100 bucks for them to haul my old toilet away, 152 for the first day diagnostics. 1500 bucks total. They wanted 380 bucks to just install a toilet, so I did it myself. They are pretty pricy due to their upfront cost gimmick, it's great to agree on a final price before work starts but it also means your paying a pretty penny, even for easy jobs like a finished basement, no crawling or crouching. They lose 1 star due to their aggressive upselling tactics. They wanted to charge me 4000 dollars to do what I believe is a 2 hour easy job. My bathroom stack wasn't done right and had a few venting issues, also we would have to cut off a metal pipe and change it to pvc to fix the cleanout plug not being able to thread back in. I'm just like man, 300 bucks for the pvc, 200 bucks for a electric Saw and then labor. The price shouldn't have been more than 1500 to 2000 bucks. But their flat rate requires them to charge 4000 dollars which might be appropriate if I had no piping and this was a full remodel type deal and they were in a tight spot but it's not. Cost did not match the difficulty of the job. They lose a 2nd star because their 1 year warranty is given only on things they find up to code. And because I didn't want to spend 20,000 dollars to line 60 ft of sewer pipe due to pipes having slight seperation in them. they gave me a 90 day warranty. Was told 1 year, then it changed to 90 days after they saw what was in the sewer line. So just be aware it's only a year if they say you get a year warranty it's not a guarantee. I can also understand this is a risky pipe for them to warranty for a year but don't gloat to a customer and say you provide year warranties for your work when it's extremely subjective. Anyways my tech blaze was a good dude, I was just a little shocked when i turned the corner. He cleaned up after as best he could, I would probably use a hydro service again I think I am better prepped for it in the future. Just be aware they are trying to upsell you and your old pipes, they will refuse most work if it's not something they have a flat rate for or overcharge because that's the closest flat rate they can get to your specific problem. They cannot do partial work up to code, everything must be brought up to code if they connect pipe to it.
