A gorgeous old house museum. It was inhabited by several generations of the Sieberling family before being made into a museum. State of the art for its time, the house even has a fairly large indoor pool! I was there on a beautiful (but hot and humid) summer day, the property was the site of two weddings that day. You get to wander all over the house and gardens, be sure to leave your self plenty of time to see everything!
My husband and I visited on the self guided tour. The entire estate is impressive. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. So much to see and history to absorb. We were unable to see a small portion of the gardens due to wedding ceremonies taking place, but were not bothered by it. The grounds are beautifully kept. It was nice to go at our own pace. We spent 4-5 hrs exploring and taking SO many pictures.

We decided last minute to venture away from Pittsburgh and found this attraction. We were in-between Fall and Winter so we did see a little of the color changes of the leaves and some Christmas decorations. The grounds were kept up well and the inside of the mansion was gorgeous. Original furnishings and decor. Great tour and interesting background of the history of the family.
Beautiful! Really enjoyed the Christmas lights. Interesting history staff knowledgeable. Our visit was a few days before Christmas so it was BUSY. Loooooong freezing line to get in the house but was worth it. Would be awesome if they had heaters along the line like Cedar Point has fans. Shuttle helpful when they send you to a far away parking lot but had to wait 15-20 mins. Drivers were nice and Shuttle was warm and cozy. Will go back in a few years.
It was my first time coming to Stan Hywet and let me just say, it did not disappoint! The house is absolutely stunning! To the small details In woodwork, the grounds are just beautiful this time of year with all the lights throughout the property. We got hot coco and walked the grounds to see the lights and it was just magical.
