My wife and I came in for brunch. We had reservations for this morning. This place is very rustic and eye catching. Loved the entire decor. My wife ordered the barbacoa chilaquiles, I ordered the chicken fried chicken & egg biscuit, and we topped it off with the blueberry biscuits. The food was fantastic! Enjoyed every bite. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.
Beautiful restaurant with a spectacular ambience. Truly one of the nicest atmospheres I have experienced in a long time. The food was absolutely amazing and very fresh. The shrimp was hands down the star of the meal and full of flavor. The bread pudding was also really good and the perfect way to end the meal. The only downside was the service, which unfortunately was not very attentive during our visit. I am not sure why, but it did stand out compared to how great everything else was. That said, I will definitely be coming back because the food and atmosphere were excellent and worth returning for.

Haywire absolutely blew me away. Our server, Shadiya, was AMAZING!!! She took her time answering all of our questions, gave incredible recommendations, and was so kind and patient throughout the entire experience. The food was outstanding. We had the garlic-stuffed filet with Brussels sprouts, and it was cooked perfectly. We shared the crab dip and onion rings, and every appetizer was a hit, I was eating so fast because everything tasted amazing . This was my first time in Dallas, and between the food and the service, the experience was phenomenal. The manager even stopped by to chat with us and was incredibly sweet, which made us feel so welcomed. At one point I just looked around the restaurant and noticed how much fun everyone was having. The ambience was vibrant, warm, and inviting. Haywire’s hospitality is truly like no other. Can’t wait to come back.
My husband and I had dinner here while on vacation. The decor is very “Dallas” if that makes sense to you. We reserved a table in the climate-controlled patio, which was a great choice. You get the city views while inside the cozy restaurant. Our server Pernod (forgive me if I’m butchering his name) was great, very attentive. And I can’t forget the pretty hostess that offered to take our picture (I didn’t get her name but we were there 10/27/25 if that helps and she wore black leather leggings and a red/black/tan flannel shirt, with longish black hair. You can see her for a split second at the end of the 1st attached video). The food was amazing! I got the ribeye with tallow fries and my husband had the ribs with mac & cheese and cornbread. When I say all of it was good, I mean EVERYTHING was cooked just right-the steak was tender and flavorful, the fries were hot with the right crisp balance, mac & cheese was creamy and seasoned, and the ribs were perfection! And the cornbread…I’m not even big on sweet cornbread but this here tasted like something from a deep south granny’s kitchen! I also had a classic margarita that was very well made, not too sweet or overwhelming. If you’re in the area, please check them out-great choice for date night. We will be back on our next trip to Dallas.
First visit to Haywire Location: Dallas, TX (McKinney Ave.) We walked in to 3 hosts at the front, and not 1 of them greeted us. Eventually we greeted them and asked to be seated for a party of 2 at a booth. We were asked to give our phone number to be added to the wait list; a party of 3 people were in front of us and there were many open tables in the restaurant. We sat down and then were told a table was ready (less than 3 minutes later). Our waiter Carlos was pleasant enough, but he certainly didn't seem to have much urgency when it came to checking on us. Twice we asked for him to come to our table for drink orders and paper napkins. The restaurant itself was COLD. The outside temperature in Dallas was 33 degrees. It essentially felt the same temperature inside of the restaurant. We kept our heavy coats on the entire time and I noticed that many other patrons did the same. Some staff members also had on coats while working. I overheard another server apologizing for the lack of heat to another table nearby. This certainly was not a great first experience. We ordered crab dip and flat bread as a starter. The size portion was reasonable for 2 people and tasty. Our entrees took forever to come out. 1 chicken fried chicken with asparagus and mashed potatoes and 1 order or BBQ ribs, cornbread and macaroni. Portion sizes were good - we ended up with to-go boxes. The meals were roughly $25/pp and I'd say pretty good tasting but nothing that would make us return. Overall, this wasn't the experience we hoped for. With many other options nearby, we probably would make another selection.
