Escaped the Midwest cold for a trip here :) I will say the amenities they offer are unmatched. But the room itself is just dated. It was very humid everytime we entered the room, the bathroom could use some updating and I was disappointed there was no vent in there to suck in some moisture. Rooms could also use another trash can. But we really did enjoy the pool area, and most of all having a nice hiking trail right behind the hotel! We also rented some of their complimentary bikes which was amazing and we really appreciated!! All staff on site were super friendly as well. Great remote location where you can drive out to pretty much anywhere in a timely manner. :) Some nice spots I really enjoyed nearby were Paris baguette, Delfalcos, Hanas Mediterranean, Pitadale, south mountain park, canyon lake (the drive alone is worth it) and note you need a pass to park at canyon lake. You can purchase one at a gas station from what I read- and I’d say the desert botanical garden was ok but so overpriced for what it was.
DO YOUR RESEARCH BEFORE STATING HERE. I am going to be as gentle as possible. I’ll let my photos say the rest. My org had a large 2-day training here. ALL of the staff are amazing! That is the one redeeming thing about this property. The online photos are beautiful but deceiving. For the nightly rate, I was expecting 5 star accommodations. Not the case. Cleanliness, comfort, food and updated rooms are all lacking. This seems to bee a common theme with older Hilton properties. My stay here reminded me why I switched to Marriott. Thanks for the reminder. The one star rating is only because the staff were amazing.

We expected much better from a Hilton. Parking for our room was ridiculous. The hotel property is very hilly and the property is spread out. Parking in front of your unit was rarely possible resulting in walking our luggage and other items up hill. Our door had a large gap on the bottom which allowed bugs to crawl in. Our tub was plugged. The furnishings need a serious update and some were broken. The main pool is nice for the kids. Pickle ball and tennis courts are well maintained. Our bar fridge was missing shelves and the area where you put drinks was broken. House keeping staff seemed disinterested. This hotel was probably really nice when new. It needs some serious TLC. For a Hilton, it doesn't meet the standard.
Stayed here for my anniversary for 4 days, we booked online and originally booked for a standard king suite, but we were placed in a standard 2 queen bed, which wasn’t going to work since it’s our anniversary obviously. After contacting the front desk we asked for our original booking suite which they said wasn’t available, only thing available at that time was a signature suite, for an additional $85 per night. During this conversation the staff member assisting us seems rude and judgmental (like a lot of the rest of the staff) assuming we couldn’t afford the up charge, but of course we could and decided to upgrade to the signature suite. The suite was beautiful and had a great layout, we had a fire place included in our room which we requested be lit, during 2-3 attempts at lighting the fire for us they concluded it wasn’t going to work as they were having issues will all fire places at the moment. Now the biggest issue we faced here was with the spa services there was a miscommunication with requirements for booking the services for a prenatal massage, The requirements were the person had to be 13+ weeks pregnant to receive a prenatal massage, Which we didn’t notice during booking, I was 12&6 days simply a day or two off of the requirement and they refused to service me, which, OK, that’s fine if that is the policy, But there was no sense of Appropriate customer service, Like offering a different spa service or even just being kind, Christy Was a very rude and Seemed pretty judgmental as soon as we talked in prior to the Gestational age discrepancy. She seems happier that The services couldn’t be provided. And it was the worst experience I’ve ever had at any resort (which I’ve been to a lot) she is the reason why I will never return to this facility or resort. Basic courtesy and customer service should be a requirement to work at such an high rated $360-$400 night resort. The staff members of color were the only ones who were respectful and kind. Which is so embarrassing for a resort located in Arizona! We also dined at the restaurant a different point of view, and the food was great but again the service was horrible from our waiter Christopher, he didn’t prioritize us as he did his other tables and the bus man Jose was more of service this our actual waiter which was disappointing after spending $200 on dinner. Overall disappointed in our stay, but Micheal at the front desk was kind and tried to help as much as he could to make things right after our complaints. So thank you Micheal!
The location is beautiful and secluded yet close to some nearby places to eat. Traffic is heavy in the morning toward Pheonix. The resort has pretty much everything you need to not have to ever leave. There are 6 pools and hot tubs to choose from that offer something for anyone. Laundry is free except soap. Gift shop has practically anything you might need or left behind. Staff is great and really friendly. If you are staying in the upper units, it can be a hike to the lobby or any of the restaurants, so be prepared for exercise or driving. I was here on business for 10 days and loved it minus the commute. I will be back with my family. Recommend staying here for business, pleasure, or family vacation.
