We had such a great time, with family, at this zoo. They had a nice variety of animals and other activities for kids and things! Our kids had a blast on the zip line, in the park! I especially loved the bird area and the fish and reptile section! Would definitely recommend this for families with little animal lovers! It's a great outing! Plus they had tons of big fans around for when it's hot out!
We had an amazing experience at the Nashville Zoo! It’s one of the best family-friendly places we’ve visited. The zoo is very clean, well organized, and easy to walk through—even with kids. There’s a great variety of animals, and the exhibits feel spacious and thoughtfully designed. What really stood out was how interactive everything is. The playground area is huge and perfect for letting kids burn off energy, and there are plenty of spots to sit and relax. The staff were friendly and helpful, and everything felt safe and welcoming. We easily spent several hours there and still didn’t want to leave. Whether you’re visiting with family or just looking for a fun day out, this zoo is definitely worth it. Highly recommend!

The grounds are gorgeous and VAST! I understand giving animals plenty of room, but this kind of goes overboard. you might be able to see them through the binoculars available, but then again, maybe not. No elephants, hippos, lions, bears and very few monkeys…although we were so tired of walking we might have missed some stuff. Bring an electric scooter.🚴🏻😉
We absolutely love the Nashville Zoo! It is an amazing place that offers a fantastic overall experience, and we would absolutely go back again. The Highlights: • The Petting Zoo: This area was a massive hit—it’s an incredible, hands-on experience that shouldn't be missed. • The Soaring Eagle Zipline: A really nice, unique feature that adds an extra layer of adventure to the day. • Cleanliness: The entire park is beautiful and well-maintained. Even the restrooms are clean and have a fun, themed design that fits right into the zoo experience. One Quick Heads-Up: The only downside to our visit was the zoo train. It seems to go down pretty often because it is a bit older and the battery dies frequently. If your kids have their hearts set on riding the train, definitely check its operational status when you first walk in. The Verdict: Even with the minor train hiccup, this is easily one of our favorite spots. It’s clean, fun, well-laid out, and perfect for a family day out. Highly recommend!
We spent all day at the zoo (literally 10 to 5). We loved it. My 4yr old has been talking about it every day since. She learned a lot from the kids attending summer camp as well as the regular employees. It is worth it to get the $5 adventure pass too. If you go during the summer like we did having those helped cut the heat. We also included the dino walk. Only thing I wish had been open was the farm house but it was not touring the day we went. You can pack a Lunch to bring to the zoo which I did not know. Food at the café is expensive but fairly average price for this type of excursion. Favorite part for me.. petting kangaroos. Why are the so soft?!
