We interacted with several people throughout the process of repairing and replacing some of our plumbing , and every single person was professional and knowledgeable. They took time to explain what the problem was and how they would fix it. If there were options then each was explained so that we understood. We decided to replace a sink and fixtures and they offered their help in choosing the right pieces. Great service. Good people.
My granddaughter started to have sewer smelling water entering her basement. I traveled from Tennessee to help as she has trouble taking time off from work. Spartan arrived and diagnosed the problem as a clog just before a suspect joint where the cast iron pipe joins a larger clay pipe. To remedy this problem they suggested digging up the sewer, install a clean out between the house and the clay pipe, water jetting the sewer line for a little over $6000. We agreed to have them complete this, the work was accomplished and we paid the bill. Within one week water was again seeping into the basement. Spartan came back out, stated what they did wasn't the problem and wanted an additional $16000 to make further repairs. This seemed extremely high so we had another company investigate and they offered to do the work for $10000. We signed a contract with them. When they excavated the clean out installed by Spartan, they discovered it was in a pipe that wasn't connected to my granddaughter's house. When they removed the cast iron pipe from the clay pipe a three foot clog slid from the cast iron.(the picture shows their clean out and the repair completed by the second company) I called Spartan, informed them of the situation, offered them the opportunity to see their error and to discuss some relief from their bill. After I forwarded them pictures of the area, they declined to offer any refund. If they would have done the job as bid, the $10000 second may not have been required. Since Spartan didn't do the work agreed to, they declined to offer any refund for their error and then stopped returning my calls, I feel they earned a one star review.

It was unfortunate that my 15-year-old hot water heater decided to die. I've had Spartan plumbing, come out to my house 2 other times. This is the second time. Braden has been to my house and both this time and the last time where flawless work. Matt dropped off the water heater and assisted with the install. I now have a brand new hot water. Heater and all new brass and plumbing and even replace some of the gas lines. Both other appointments were a brand new main water, shut off and exterior faucets. I also had them replace all of the water lines going to each one of the toilets with all new handles and fixtures. Every time they come out is very professional, clean work. I would highly recommend Spartan plumbing to any and all of the people I know. Sincerely, Jack Tudor.
Michael the estimator was very well spoken, responding to my many questions about replacing water heaters. He was thorough. Michael wanted to be sure I understood each issue. That was nice! He was very professional. Since my first interaction, I have had evasive answers to my questions from the service manager—- and he phoned to move forward on our purchase even before we had a written quote. It took multiple phone calls to finally get the quote- the general manager dropped our price estimate by $600 to try to keep our business, and then another person phoned wanting to explain our new estimate— totally out of the loop. Sales should be about why a company deserves to have a customer’s business— why should we pay x dollars for the service? Why is a company the best choice for us? This experience was just plain bad— aggressiveness and greed were at the forefront. Shame on you Spartan! When you say you will send an estimate send it, and clarify what brands of products you are estimating-/ don’t be evasive!
The installation of the well pump for the well and expansion tank for the water heater.eas very successful. David and Kade did a great job! They made everything they did not just effective but made all the dirt and mulch they replaced look great! They were very cordial and co-operative with us. It was a pleasure to have them do this job. I must say that everyone we have had work at getting things working as it should have been friendly, skilled, and a pleasure to work with. I would definitely recommend Spartan.
