Such a fun zoo and aquarium! My family of five all found something we loved. We were there for only 4 hours since we're on a road trip, so we plan on going back to finish on another trip. Added bonus: the kids and I loved the splash pad! Such a cool surprise. I also loved the old WPA buildings
Loved this smaller zoo! Parking off Broadway St was so simple and easy and you walk right across the street into the zoo. Easy to walk and cover the whole zoo in 3-4 hours. Animals were easy to see if most enclosures and the elephants and giraffes were so close! Lots to do for little kids including a splash pad-we were not traveling with kids but could tell this was a good activity for then to break up the zoo day. The aquarium and aviary both added a nice indoor experience and break from the sun. Highly recommend this zoo for a quick zoo trip experience with lots of great animals and activities!

Absolutely wonderful! The bird exhibits were incredible!! I’ve never seen so many gorgeous birds, stunning exhibits. The landscape flows delightfully. The exhibits are wonderful. Get in the tunnel with the bears if you can! If you’re visiting Toledo, as we were, it’s worth the visit!
Even though we are not residents of Toledo, this is our family’s favorite zoo. Our kids talk about the elephants all the time and they are definitely our favorite stop when we visit. Very walkable and the animals are always very lively and seem well taken care of. The multiple options for crossing to the other side of the zoo are so helpful and much appreciated when pushing a heavy wagon around on a hot day 🤣 The brand new reptile house was AMAZING. So many fun animals to see and the crocodiles were very cool to see.
This zoo is always really cool to visit, but the newly renovated reptile building is fantastic!!!!! The retractable ceiling to give the alligators and sailfins natural UVB is such an incredible upgrade! My husband and I went today after not being here for 5 years and had an amazing time! Animals are well cared for, zookeepwrs are helpful and knowledgeable, and they have some really unique and rare animals like the tuatara
