Ascension Medical Group Illinois - Primary Care Chicago

This facility accepts walk-ins and recommends appointments, but rescheduled my appointment because I was late due to downtown street closures. There was NO ONE WAITING, and one man who just went to the back. Literally, the only person in the waiting area was the security guard. The website also says it will validate parking for appointments, but not pharmacy pickup, and didn't want to validate my parking, which is $40 dollars. Great idea, wrong staff, especially that guy at the front desk who is rude and condescending.

The staff is super friendly but this isn’t somewhere I would suggest to get medical advice. I came here with lower back and leg pain, the NP offered me some cream instead of dealing with the problem head on! I came back and insisted that my leg was continuously hurting and instead of her referring me to a orthopedic doctor (because obviously if I have lower back pain that radiates to my leg, it’s clear as day it’s a spinal issue and needs a MRI which I constantly suggested & she refused) she suggested me to go to a chiropractor which was the worst mistake I could have ever listened to. I went to the chiropractor for a month until I stopped because he was constantly manipulating my neck and back which lead me to have worse pain then what I came in with. She also suggested for me to get a EMG on my leg which made no sense because clearly the problem originate from the spine. Make a long story short I have a appointment with a orthopedic doctor coming up which I’m 90 % positive that I have a bulging disc that is compressing the nerves which is causing the pain in my lower back & to shoot down my leg which she should have known in the first place from being a advanced medical professional. I would never ever come back here to get any medical advice! Save yourselves the trouble and see a actual physician.
