Formerly Sears tower... and still called that by the locals. We were greeted at the door with a person who answered questions and gave us directions inside the building. When we left, someone was there to give us some ideas for what to see and tel us how to get the the Bean. There is a nice food court at ground level. Lots of choices. The small museum inside was informative. Elevator was smooth and you won't notice how fast you are going. It was wonderful to see all around Chicago. The views are amazing. I loved the signs they had identifying buildings in the view. It was fun trying to find the buildings. I was a little nervous to stand inside the glass box so I sat down and scooted into it while looking straight ahead at all times. Made for great photos without fear. 😉 One thing I noticed worth mentioning. The elevators, building, and restrooms were immaculate. I saw multiple people cleaning while we were there to keep things in pristine condition. If you want to see all of Chicago... this is a most!
Willis Tower is an absolute must if you want to see Chicago from a whole different level—literally. The Skydeck on the 103rd floor delivers jaw-dropping views that stretch for miles on a clear day, giving you a true sense of how massive and flat the Midwest really is. The highlight is the glass ledges that extend out from the building, letting you stand over the city with nothing but glass beneath your feet. It’s equal parts thrilling and nerve-wracking, even if you’re not afraid of heights. The experience is well-organized, informative, and worth the wait. While tickets aren’t cheap and lines can get long, especially during peak hours, the payoff is undeniable. Sunset is the best time to visit if you want to see the city transition from daylight to a sea of lights.

Willis Tower is an iconic Chicago experience and absolutely worth visiting. The Skydeck views are breathtaking, offering a stunning 360° panorama of the city and Lake Michigan. Standing on the glass ledges is thrilling and unforgettable. The experience is well organized, the exhibits are informative, and the overall atmosphere makes you truly appreciate Chicago’s skyline and architectural beauty. A must-visit landmark for first-time visitors and repeat travelers alike. An unforgettable way to see the Windy City from above.
It was great. The view was breathtaking. There are plenty of photo opts along the way to the Willis Tower Skydeck. I ttok pics with Chicago natives, like Oprah, The Obamas, and Michael Jordan. Once you reach the Tower ledge, you have 90 seconds to take pictures and that's it. Then they try to sale you the pics you take coming in for $35 for 2. Or $45 for all 4 pictures as you leave out.
The views from the top of Willis Tower are beautiful and absolutely worth it. I explored Chicago during a really long layover, and deciding to go up here was one of the best choices I made. Chicago is a stunning city, and seeing it from above really puts its architecture and layout into perspective. When I visited, I honestly thought it was the most beautiful city I had ever seen that is, until I flew into Singapore the next day. If you have time to explore Chicago, even during a layover, going to the top of Willis Tower is a must.
