Great experience with Jason and Efficiency Heating & Cooling. I saw their add on Facebook and was able to schedule an inspection for the next day. Jason was great, talked me through the situation and gave me the quote for a new furnace the same day. I’ll be hiring them to install it and I’m sure it’ll be great.
I was very satisfied with the maintenance service Jim provided on my furnace. He was very efficient, knowledgeable and personable. He made me feel very secure after a bad experience with another HVAC company. Thank you!
Received a quality inspection and estimate from Jason and Efficiency. Honest, straightforward, and no pressure. Exactly the sales experience I was hoping for and would highly recommend. You have a friend in the HVAC industry who can help you make your decision for your home.

Jim was great! He did an excellent job servicing the furnace and thoroughly explained what repairs may be needed with a general idea of pricing. He was also very respectful of my home.
Efficiency Heating and Cooling has earned a customer for life. That was one of the best service appointment experiences I have ever had. Extremely nice, helpful, going above and beyond, and clearly solely focused on getting me back up and running. Here's the story: Our internal HVAC fan blower gave out last weekend but didn't notice till Monday night. Called first thing Tuesday morning and they were able to get me a technician appointment for the next day in the morning (10-12). Wasn't expecting to be able to be fit in so quick. Wednesday morning comes and I get a call from the technician asking if it would be alright if he showed up 30 minutes early. Of course! how often does a technician actually show up early rather than late? I then get a confirmation text from efficiency saying Phil my technician is on the way and includes a picture of him and his bio. The personal touch already tells me so much about this company. Phil arrives at 930 on the dot, I explain my thoughts on what happened and we go take a look at the furnace. He immediately begins explaining how the system works and what he's doing to diagnose or confirm the problem. He also is talking to me about the equipment that is installed (from a previous home owner) and that these models (specialty and carrier) while great also require specific parts rather than generic ones. We then head outside to the AC unit to test that and make sure it's fine. He then confirms it's the fan blower in the furnace and says he's going to head to his car to make some calls to locate the parts, how much it'll cost, and if any part of my system is under warranty to try to save me money. He's gone for maybe 10 minutes and then he explains that the unit is past warranty but he was able to find the blower and wheel unit (only 1 in portland) and put a hold on it for me. He then provides me two options. Replace both the wheel and blower or just the blower for about 1k cheaper. He says the wheel looks fine and probably doesn't need to be replaced but he won't fully know till he takes the whole unit apart. He's recommending the cheaper option to try to save me money. After discussion with my wife we decide to just replace the wheel to not risk having an issue with it and then needing to replace it down the line and risk having that part be out of stock. We start talking about scheduling another appointment day for him to come back out with the parts to replace everything, and then looks at the time (it's a little after 10 now) and decides that he will run to the store to pick up the parts and come back and just replace it all today so that I can have everything fixed today rather than waiting a few days with no ability to run the ac or furnace. 40 minutes later he returns with the parts and gets to work and finishes within like 30 minutes. He then shows me videos of what he did and also shows me that there was a build up of dust, debris, dog hair above the blower unit that's impossible to get to without removing the unit (like he had to do to replace it all) and so he went ahead and did a deep clean on all of it to help with the air blowing up into the vents. The entire time we're talking at the end he's THANKING ME for being such a great customer and I'm thinking...no no no. THANK YOU for being such an awesome technician. Phil went above and beyond multiple times throughout the appointment and it was very clear early on that his top priorities were: 1. Get us back up and running as quick as possible 2. Do so while saving us the most amount of money possible without comprimising the repair. That genuineness shown through in everything he did and there was never a moment that I wanted to question the price, parts, labor, or look for a second opinion. There was no need. Phil earned a customer for life and I, unprompted, immediately started asking about maintenance packages they offer and signed up for one. For as long as I live in Portland I will never use another HVAC company. I was shocked at how high the reviews were on google, but now it all makes sense.
