Downtown Portland is a unique area, accessible parking right across the way from the hotel for about 25/night or the option for valet. Rooms were very nice and spacious. Cocktail hour with wine in the lobby after check in. Nice cocktails in restaurant and Marriott lounge access with free breakfast if you have status (or book a room with m club access)
Loved this hotel. Great valet, made it easy to request service through text or QR code. Then given a link to tip and I can do them individually or all at once at the end of my stay (noting the dates and times). Hotel staff were great, room service and the food was awesome. Just began working in PDX every other week and this is the hotel I will stay at every time.
Had a wonderful time down here, and easy access to the Rose festival carnival. All I had to do was walk along the waterfront about a mile down and boom you're there. Ran into a few duckling families as well. Also, room 804 is great viewing.

The Bidwell by Marriott is a great place to stay with friendly, helpful staff. The Bidwell is clean and well maintained with a relaxing yet vibrant atmosphere. The rooms are well kept and comfortable. The biggest issue was one of the mattresses in the 2 queen room was worn out on one side and felt like I was sleeping in a bowl. The restaurant and club offered great food and drinks with outstanding service. The valets Josh S. and Cam were super helpful, friendly and definitely helped make the stay enjoyable.
What a great experience at this hotel. I don’t stay in many Marriotts and am more of a Hilton person but the GM, Jacob changed my point of view. Immediately upon arrival he unloaded our bags, began to wheel all of them inside. He knew I was in a hurry for an appointment and walked me into the front desk to expedite the check in process and while doing so, he greeted my family and provided a toy to my child. The room is very clean, bright, and the bed is comfortable for a hotel. I’ll be staying here next time I’m in Portland and will look to stay in more Marriott properties during future travel. Thank you, Jacob! I wish more managers were out on the floor and visible to patrons which shows you genuinely care about your job and the property.
