Historic beautiful mansion turned into a hotel. The main floor public area rooms, gathering areas, hallways, etc look like the pictures from when it was a residence. Great staff. Our guestroom was large, updated, comfortable and quiet considering this is on the corner of two busy roads. Large HDTV with full cable service helped pass the idle time we had. Breakfast was okay. The eggs and sausage were no different than hotel chains but the sides/extras such as potatoes, scones, macaroons, etc were great. There are two breakfast seating areas, next to each other. They each have different beverages so check them both. Parking $15 per day. We will return.
Loved our stay here. We stayed here, as we drove 4 hours to see the Brandon Lake concert. Rose- at check-in was pleasant, knowledgeable, personable and professional. Roger- from maintenance was friendly, welcoming and helpful. Tyrell- from the breakfast area was so well mannered, thoughtful and courteous. Whoever hires and trains this staff- well done! 👏 The beds are comfy and the continental breakfast was plentiful & exceptional!

Truly one of my favorite places to shoot a wedding! The hotel itself is beautiful and has so much charm and character! Then there is the staff. Always a joy to work with! And lastly, the grounds. At Glidden House you are surrounded by beautiful Wade Oval. Endless photo opportunities! Highly recommend!
Glidden House is one of my favorite Cleveland wedding venues! While it's location in University Circle is incredibly convenient, the abilitiy to have everything onsite removes so much friction from the day. It allows couples and their guests to truly settle in, rather than moving from one location to the next. The exterior and grounds photograph beautifully, especially in the fall. One wedding I documented there took place as the leaves were turning, and the colors on the lawn were spectacular. In general, Glidden House strikes a balance I really appreciate. It’s practical without feeling impersonal, and elegant without being overproduced. It’s a wonderful fit for couples who value art, history, and connection. I hope to be back soon!
This hotel is charming. The view from the breakfast area is lovely and there is a cozy fireplace. Our room was clean and comfortable. We did not hear any of the other guests. My one complaint was that the room as not dark enough because the lovely blinds let in a bit of light through the cracks. Black-out curtains that actually closed and were not just decorative would take care of that issue. Breakfast was pretty good though I would have preferred a pitcher of half-n-half to the plastic creamer pods.
