They did show up. The simple problem was fixed. However I was charged excessively for the job. They saw a huge house & tried to take advantage of me. My father was a master contractor. He could have fixed this in less than an hour. I was charged $538. Because I have roommates I felt forced to pay this amount. But I do know I was overcharged. I was told by the plumber it was a flat rate. When I called the company, they said the charge was based on the hours needed, supplies etc. So they gave me two different reasons. Very frustrating. My father would have never treated anyone like this. The water was seen in the basement. The leak was from above the room. It was simple to find. Simple to fix. And because this is an actual plumbing company, they should keep basic supplies on them. Not need to go get them. This was an hour job. By a younger licensed plumber. There is no way possible I should have been charged this amount. I work with contractors on a regular basis. Not to mention I grew up with a contractor father. At most this would be $150 job including supplies. I asked other plumbers & each said I was very much overcharged. Was the pipe made of gold & diamonds? No a regular copper pipe.
