I recently stayed at a Hilton that has a very unique mix of “old but innovative,” and overall I had a good experience with a few quirks. The building itself is clearly older: the hallways have that classic patterned carpet, and the elevator feels almost like an antique piece, but in a charming, nostalgic way rather than run-down. The furniture in the room is also older and shows some wear, but everything was very clean, which is the most important part for me. Being in the room honestly felt like being transported back to the 90s in a cozy, old-school hotel kind of way. What really surprised me is how modern and innovative they are with their services. I loved that I could check in online and use a digital key on my phone :) no need to stop at the front desk or keep track of a plastic key card. It was fast, super convenient, and probably my favorite part of the whole experience. Parking is another big plus: it’s free and there are lots of spots available around the property, which is rare and very appreciated. The location is also practical, there are fast-food places and stores nearby, so grabbing a quick bite or picking something up is easy. At night, the area itself is quiet, but inside the room the mini-fridge and the AC/heater were a bit noisy. It wasn’t terrible, but definitely noticeable. I usually travel with earplugs and ended up using them here, just like I do in many hotels, so it wasn’t a dealbreaker for me. Overall, if you don’t mind (or even enjoy) an older-style hotel with dated decor but clean rooms, great digital check-in, free parking, and a convenient location, this Hilton is a solid choice. Just bring earplugs if you’re a light sleeper like me.

Sherry and Carla at the bar are awesome and will take great care of you. Saw them take care of several guests after the posted closing hours to make sure everyone was satisfied. We visit lots of hotels for hockey and they are by far the best barstaff we have run into in years If you come into the Doubletree Sherry and Carla will take care of you. Highly recommended.
When I walked in the lobby it was beautiful and the staff was so friendly. Then we walked to the room past the pool and I could see the water for the pool was so cloudy it made my skin crawl so I opted to not go down there. We tried to order food to the room but were told we had to go down to the restaurant. The menu was completely different than what they have in room/online and prices are 2-3x higher. The food I had was so delicious though. Then we went up to eat and set in the bed to see the blanket had a clearly visible what appeared to be bloodstain. We went down to the lobby to ask for another but was told housekeeping was fine for the day so no luck. We pulled that off to find the sheet under had a yellow and black ring spot on it. Went back to the lobby and demanded new bed sheets. It was not comfortable and I barely slept. TLDR; The staff was nice, the food was good, the room was disgusting, the pool was milky/cloudy. The bed was uncomfortable. Would not stay there again.
Really did not enjoy our stay this time around. Pool area was filthy and freezing. The hot tub sucked and was at best lukewarm. Vending machines charge $4 for bottled water. No complementary coffee-$3.50 for a cup. No cookies. Only had housekeeping come once during our 4 night stay. Calling corporate is a joke as they just forward your call to the front desk. Giving 2 stars because the bed and pillows were comfortable and when we did see housekeeping she was very nice. The gentleman working Saturday morning (1/31/26) at the front desk was also nice.
If you need somewhere to lay your head for the night, this hotel suffices. We stayed 2 nights for a hockey tournament. Check-in was quick and easy and the lobby is beautiful with high ceilings and a water feature but the advertised warm cookie wasn't provided. The cons for us: -Room was uncomfortably hot upon arrival -Used qtip under bathroom vanity was ick -Conditioner bottle empty -3 bath towels for 4 people -Toilet stopped filling with water (maintenance did come quickly) -Very dusty and garbage under bed (clearly never move beds to clean properly) -Pool was absolutely the grossest I've ever seen with a constant film of oily grease on the top -Our hockey team was never informed a hot breakfast was provided for us. When we found out for day 2, it wasn't available the hours we needed it due to an early game. Why prepare a big breakfast for a group of guests and then not tell them about it or have it available the hours they need it?
