My car wouldn’t start this morning, so I called Cleveland Auto Repair in the afternoon. They towed my car, fixed it, and returned it to me the same day at a very affordable price. The technicians were friendly, knowledgeable, and truly experienced. They only replaced the broken part instead of charging me for unnecessary work or replacing the entire system. I really appreciate their honesty and great service. I love this shop and highly recommend them!
I had a high level of hope bringing my vehicle here. My husband had recommended this place to me because previously they had worked on our van. But this was a completely different outcome. I paid for a 25 pt inspection and over which totaled over two grand of work done on my vehicle. I am 6 in a half months pregnant and thought that I was receiving real professional car repair help. But I feel that I was targeted. The very next day I go to leave and my car does not start at all. I tried to jumpstart the vehicle, this worked but only momentarily. I reached out to the location and was not responded to until I called. I was told that this issue is not related to what they fixed on my car. And the issues that they repaired that were related are still making slight noises still. And that they'd contact the manager and I never got a response. And now I have to take my car to another auto mechanic where I hope will not see a helpless lady to drain of very much so needed funds.

My experience with Cleveland Auto Repair was extremely frustrating and cost me both time and money. I originally brought my car in because I was having drivability issues and wanted a diagnosis and an estimate for repairs. During the process, my car sat in the lot for several days with very little communication or visible progress. I was eventually told it would take around 20 hours of labor to replace the belt and idler pulleys, which surprised me based on what I had researched and what other mechanics later told me. Another issue that bothered me was that my tailgate/body damage estimate took a body technician about 15 minutes to inspect and quote on-site. In contrast, I paid $225 for a mechanical diagnosis, yet I never received the confidence that they actually wanted to repair my vehicle. My personal impression was that the diagnostic fee became the focus rather than finding a reasonable repair solution. One of the main reasons I chose this shop was because I found their Craigslist advertisement mentioning Acima financing. I was approved through Acima before bringing my car in. After I arrived, I found out Cleveland Auto Repair wasn’t even listed as an approved merchant. I was told they would have to process it under the name “Akron Auto” instead. That immediately raised concerns for me because it wasn’t the business I believed I was financing through. Communication throughout the process was also disappointing. I repeatedly had to call for updates, and my vehicle remained there while I waited for information. By the end, I felt like I had lost valuable time without getting a repair plan that made sense for my situation. In the end, I paid the diagnostic fee, picked up my car, and chose not to move forward with the repairs. I respect that every shop has its own methods, but based on my personal experience, I cannot recommend this business. I encourage anyone considering this shop to ask for a detailed written estimate, ask how long the diagnosis will take, clarify all financing information beforehand, and get a second opinion before authorizing expensive repairs.
They will charge you about $200 for diagnostic fee when you bring your car in. (I got waived though) I had oil change service with full synthetic oil for $200. Spark plugs changed for $200. My car is 2016 ford focus. Kinda pricey but good service overall. And service was done same day! That was good. If you plan to pay with your card, be ready for extra 4%. They are kind too. Only the reason for 3 stars is the price. Thank you.
Great service at Cleveland Auto Repair. I brought my car in for an oil change, tire rotation, and brake inspection. They found worn front brake pads, explained the issue clearly, and completed the work on time. The car drives smoothly now, and the brakes feel much better. Professional, honest, and reliable service.
