The restaurant is relatively small and has no on-site parking. The décor has a hipster vibe, with modern art covering the walls and a live DJ spinning records. The music competed with the already loud camaraderie in the space, so it’s definitely energetic. The restaurant is 21+ only, requires a credit card for reservations, and has a strict policy that your full party must be present before being seated. We ordered a wide array of food. The pancake board was served with thinly sliced fresh fruit, Nutella, bacon, and syrup. I don’t eat pork, so I ordered a side of chicken sausage instead, which ended up being the best part of my meal. It was cooked perfectly and served with a light, syrupy roux. Each bite made me excited for the next. The pancakes themselves were thick and dense, not my personal favorite. The fruit was fresh and the nuts helped elevate the flavor, but I only ate one pancake. The board is served for six and could easily have fed our entire party. My sister said her salmon tacos were delicious, and my niece felt the same about her steak tacos. Another niece enjoyed her bacon cheeseburger and found it very filling, she only ate half. My other nieces both enjoyed their steak with truffle fries, which were really good. The espresso martinis were also a big hit with my nieces. Overall, a lively atmosphere with generous portions and several standout dishes, especially the chicken sausage and truffle fries, but be prepared to wait if your party is large regardless if you have a reservation. We waited 40 minutes and had a reservation and 20% gratitude is added for parties 6+

Outstanding First Visit — Already Looking Forward to the Next We had an amazing dining experience on our first, but definitely not our last, visit to The Oakmont. The facility is stylish and comfortable, offering a mix of seating options that work just as well for a relaxed single dinner as they likely do for the fun, lively atmosphere I imagine takes over on the weekends. The bar area is especially inviting, with a great lineup of cocktails, Bourbons, draft or bottled beer, plus more and a warm, social vibe. The service was friendly, attentive, and made the evening feel easy and enjoyable. Our food was very good. My wife ordered the Atlantic Salmon, paired with their signature Blackberry Bourbon Sidecar. She loved both—she said the salmon delicious, and even the sip of the cocktail I tried was excellent. I ordered a side of fries that were exactlyas tou would want, but the real standout was the House Chips. The seasoning was perfect and made them unforgettable. If there’s one challenge, it’s parking—especially if you’re not familiar with the area. That said, there is a parking garage directly across the street, and anyone who knows the downtown layout should have no trouble finding a spot just a short walk away. Overall, The Oakmont delivered a fantastic experience from start to finish. Great food, great service, and a great atmosphere. We’ll absolutely be back.
We were casually strolling around Indy when we stumbled upon this hidden gem. The atmosphere was fantastic, the locals were so welcoming. It was a bustling Sunday brunch spot with a talented DJ playing awesome tunes. The bartenders were top-notch, going above and beyond to make our experience enjoyable. They made great espresso martnis and one of them even whipped up a matcha tea for my partner on the house! We indulged in some delicious food, opting for the breakfast Buddha with extra jalapeños and a breakfast sampler. Everything was freshly made, beautifully presented, and incredibly tasty. This spot is definitely a must-visit for a perfect Sunday brunch with your loved one and friends!
This restaurant is awesome. Lauren was our waitress and the hostess and she is an absolute sweetheart, bring super helpful and friendly. Hummus with fresh veggies and warm pita hot the spot. The lobster gumbo was out of this world. Kale salad with grilled salmon was also great. Music was great as well. Recommended beer was perfect as well. Love this place!
I went to this restaurant yesterday and really enjoyed it. It is a little smaller, but it is really cute. The food was good and nicely presented. Prices were on the higher side, both for the food and drinks, but they do have a great drink menu and a full bar. Overall, it’s a great spot for a nice night out if you don’t mind spending a little extra money. I will add also that they do have a free parking lot, but it is small.
