Shalom Y’all continues to be one of Portland’s absolute gems. Every dish we tried was packed with flavor and beautifully presented. The whipped feta with warm pita was incredibly rich and creamy, the shakshuka was perfectly spiced and comforting, and the salmon was cooked flawlessly—crispy on the outside, tender and buttery inside. The vegetable dishes were just as memorable as the mains. The snap peas, strawberries, herbs, and toasted nuts created one of the most unique and refreshing salads I’ve had in a long time. Even the fries were outstanding—crispy, perfectly seasoned, and impossible to stop eating. What impressed me most was how every plate felt thoughtful and balanced. Nothing was ordinary, yet nothing felt overcomplicated. The service was warm and attentive, and the entire restaurant had an energetic, welcoming atmosphere that made us want to linger over every course. We finished with dessert, and somehow it was just as good as everything that came before it. Shalom Y’all delivered one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in Portland recently. Can’t wait to come back and work my way through the rest of the menu.
We were able to snag an early dinner here Friday night. The food was fantastic! We were suggested to order about two food items per person. They also recommended an extra pita for the hummus. It was too much food for us and we left uncomfortably full! The portions were a good size and the pricing is reasonable. We couldn’t even fathom dessert. The plates were flavorful and well crafted. We were asked to order everything at once and they manage the timing. We had a long wait between the potatoes and Shawarma, probably close to 15 minutes while the earlier items came out too quickly so the cadence of the meal was off. At one point we lost our server as well. Thankfully the people who we think were runners helped to keep the drinks full.

We had a very good time here - food was delicious and service was very attentive. I liked how food came out as it was ready so we could pace ourselves. It's recommended to share plates so it's family style and I liked that. Only wish the dips and things that came with pita/bread came with more. Husband is going to take his mom here for her birthday now, he was impressed!
Wandered in on a fluke. Small, so reservations are probably recommended, but got seated at a high-top. Mediterranean tapas style. Spendy, but view of the kitchen confirmed everything is made fresh in-house. Best falafel I've ever had. Other food was fresh and delicious, but did not hold a candle to the best ice cream I've ever had in my life: chocolate pistachio ice cream with rose water. Forget Salt & Straw - come here for this. The passion fruit dessert was also phenomenal.
By far THE BEST ISRAELI FOOD in the PNW. Absolutely loved this place. Came here with minimum expectations as it’s really difficult to make Israeli/levantine food like we eat back in the Middle East, but honestly I was surprised and impressed! Flavors were bold and aggressive in the best possible way. • The Hummus - EXCELLENT! Just like us Israelis (and also Palestinians for that matter) make it - super silky, smooth and flavorful. • The Chicken “Kebab”- more of a Shishlik to be honest was THE BEST dish on the menu with the Majadera. • Desserts- The Malabi was insane and also the Tahini ice cream and Chocolate rose water ice cream were amazing! Bottom line- if you’re looking for Israeli /levantine food with bold flavors make sure to check it out! Highly recommended.
