First time trying Dean’s Italian Steakhouse, and I have to say we had reservations on Valentine’s Day but were unable to make it due to an emergency, and Dean the host really went out of his way to make sure we still had the opportunity to experience this place - that alone was incredible and most appreciated. Fast forward to our visit, our server SHAWN - incredible! His knowledge of the menu items, able to give us recommendations and explain what certain things were, etc., awesome personality and super patient with us! He exudes perfect service! The food was delicious, steaks were incredible, sides - amazing - THE BEST TIRAMISU on the east coast! If you’ve been wanting to try this place - do it! Make sure you make a reservation, people around here already know how great it is - MAKE A RESERVATION! Thanks for everything this weekend, whole staff, food, ambiance - 10/10!!!
For a $250 birthday dinner, we expected a lot more than what felt like a disorganized experiment. The restaurant told us they were “trying something new,” which apparently meant giving us two waiters. Instead of better service, it was just confusing. They seemed to compete for the table, and when dessert arrived they even gave us two different explanations of what it was. The food didn’t help. The burrata starter was shockingly sweet and served on four plain pieces of toast. My steak came “Dean style” with a lobster add-on that cost extra, yet the lobster portion was comically small. Steak itself was the right temp, however instead of a nice crust, it was charred to the point of ruining the flavor. My girlfriend added shrimp to her pasta for $14, and they arrived burnt and fishy. The $17 broccoli was undercooked and crunchy with almost no flavor. They also dropped off a random dish of lobster butter without explaining what it was while the food was being delivered in a confusing rush. By the time the giant baked potato arrived (which actually looked good), we were so turned off we just took it home. Overall, for the price we expected much better food and far less dysfunction. Probably won’t be going back.

The food was packed with flavor and cooked to perfection. The service was excellent and our amazing waiter was Cassidy H. He was very knowledgeable and attentive to our table. My gf and I celebrated our early Valentine’s Day dinner here and we enjoyed it very much.
Delicious food, great service, and a pleasant modern atmosphere! Dined here after a Panthers game and everything was amazing! The steak, lobster, steakhouse wedge salad, and desserts were phenomenal! The mocktail was flavorful also! But our waiter, Cassidy H, and his service were the best part! His recommendations and his personality as well as his quick attentive service made this visit to Dean’s delightful as well as delicious!
All in all it was a good meal with great service. The drinks were really smooth and tasteful, foods were good. I’m not sure if I am not used to dry aged steaks, but the first half of my steak was too salted and overpowering, otherwise it was cooked perfectly inside. About validating parking: They only validate valet, in which they validate to make it cost $15 instead of ~30
