Nice stay for the price. This was my first time at this location, my travel companion had recommended as he liked it from a previous stay. The hotel has a great location, walkable to lots of restaurants and clubs. The atrium is stunning and offers a different feel to the hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful and ensured we received our Marriott upgrade. They gave a suite on the top floor which was very nice although a bit out dated. There was no real décor through out the hotel and it seemed dark with the carpeting and furnishings. One issue was cost of parking. Our room rate was $182, and it cost us $76 just to park. When we asked for our vehicle to be retrieved, it took over 20 minutes. Other than that it was a great bargain for the price. I would recommend this location if you are looking for a value.
So we booked this hotel for the location near the aquarium which is fine. I should have read more into it before booking. Front desk people were friendly and helpful. The biggest issue I have is I feel like there is so many undisclosed costs like every second expected to pay for additional things. First parking was $72 a night which is outrageous, then expected to to tip. You want a cart to take your belongings up or down you have to have an attendant take the cart you are expected to tip both ways. You go the Marriott store for a drink there are no prices on anything which is intentional bc the prices are outrageous it was $50 for 3 drinks and 2 candy bars and on the receipt has a spot for a tip. I don't have a problem tipping for services but not having self parking and not even giving you the option to have a cart and carry your own things when you have a bunch of kids with you and the constant nickle and dimming you made the experience stressful and not luxury at all. Also waters in the room $8 theme park pricing ridiculous. Room was fine, mini fridge worked well. Pool was nice water was very warm and appreciated the pool side towels.

This is one of the most architecturally impressive hotels we've stayed in. The soaring atrium is absolutely stunning and gives the entire hotel a grand yet welcoming atmosphere. Every time we walked through the lobby, we couldn't help but stop and admire the design. We stayed on a high floor with beautiful city views, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The room itself was comfortable, clean, and exactly what we needed. The glass elevators overlooking the atrium were such a fun experience, especially for our daughter. Our daughter absolutely loved this hotel. She was fascinated by the architecture and has already asked if we can stay here again on our next trip to Atlanta! A wonderful hotel with a memorable design. We'd happily stay here again.
It’s cool to walk inside and look up at all the floors, but I will not be staying here again. The rooms don’t get very cool and the entire building could benefit from renovations. I’m giving two stars because they did move us to a different room which got a little bit cooler than our first, but still not as cool as my traveling party likes it to be. Staff was nice but it’s just not a very nice stay for how much it is.
Workers are lovely and friendly, no complaints for them. Our group stayed here for momocon and had a lot of trouble. For one, our room had a leak that grew larger every day, we could not cross the main path through our room without getting our feet wet. Communication between workers seems to have been a problem too. When we were leaving, we were told to take our luggage to the parking lot for valet loading. We waited a long time for an elevator, only for them to tell us we had to take our 7+ suitcases and 6 people BACK upstairs to load. Worst of all, when we tried to check out, we found out we had been DOUBLE CHARGED, DOUBLE BOOKED, for our stay. The refund would not come back through for 7-10 days. Our payee had bills that could not be paid because of this. We checked out on time. Do not book here, the trouble and leaky room was not worth it, and the bus systems for transportation to momocon were terrible as well. It would be more worth your time to Uber or metro to the convention center.
